Something I haven't seen anybody discuss is how much worse Pharloom is than Hallownest. Hallownest's areas had a logical flow to them and the world had far more interesting lore. Pharloom has random lava and the lore is 'lmao spider cult!'

Finished act 3, 60 hours total. Hard to summarize but I am less enamoured with the game than I expected to be. It's still one of the best games I've played this year but it feels like it should've been better.The world map doesn't feel as cohesive as I wanted it to be, the pace overall is a bit schizo, the music is less memorable than I wanted (Bonebottom/Lace was released in 2020 and still probably the best of the OST), and the main story & characters are shrugworthy. Which is a shame because it's clear a lot of love went into this game and it is still good despite the warts.
