People see the long list of classes and feats and they say "wow" but once you've been playing this game for long enough you understand what is actually meaningful and what isn't.wotr is longer than bg3. Probably a solid 20-30% longer even.wasd movement in a 3d rendered world is much better than wotr. exploring the map and interacting with moveable objects to create solutions to puzzles and locked doors is something that just doesn't exist in wotr. using your spells outside of combat to gain entrance to exclusive secret areas or solve locked doors etc is another thing that just doesn't exist in wotr. bg3 is much better in several ways regarding these sorts of things.Overall they're both good games and both are worth playing if you want a good idea of what the crpg genre offers. I prefer the act of playing bg3 due it's more fun exploration and movement and visuals, but I'm very happy with my two playthroughs of wotr and would always recommend people play that excellent game too if they're interested.If you enjoyed bg3 and you're looking for more crpg to play, it's worth mentioning that divinity original sin 2 is by the same developers as bg3 and is on the same engine, so you'd be familiar with how a lot of it works already.Also, Rogue Trader is another game by owlcat which has turn based combat. Unlike bg3, it follows a "tactical" style, where there's a grid and you can take cover. As opposed to bg3 it's turn based, but not tactical. wotr is RTWP, which might take some getting used to. I much prefer turn based, but that's subjective.
