What do you guys think about the Asgore didn't kill the kids theory? The caskets are after the ending implying the souls returned and they came back to life which means their bodies weren't destroyed. I never thought about it deeply until I recognized the tie in with the preserved flowers. Asgore's obsession with keeping them preserved may be the reason he eventually got fired from the police and made Toriel think he's crazy or something, it parallels nicely with Asgore's obsession with preserving the humans in UT as his goal from the start was to eventually bring them back to life. This would also mean Asgore didn't absorb one soul then go to the surface and collect the rest of the souls he needed by killing humans not because of cowardice like Toriel assumed but because he wanted to bring the humans back to life after shattering the barrier.
