It's been bugging me for a while and I could deal with the drops to 40 FPS, but I'm just starting to wonder what the hell is going on because people who have worse specs than me are apparently getting 60-120+ solid at max settings.I have a 3070, a Ryzen 5 3600 6 core, and 32 GB of RAM. It doesn't matter if I clear the shader cache, update my drivers, swap DLSS on or off, drop settings a bit, etc. I don't use RTX whatsoever and it's like everywhere I go drops to an average of 45 and a low of 30 despite GPU usage never topping 40% and CPU never going above 60%. Any ideas? I'm not being thermal throttled either and it's not a virus since this is mostly a fresh install.

Just having the fun painting ones, the arena dodging ones, and the path tracing doesn't feel like enough. It feels like each region should have maybe 5-7 simple puzzle types to solve in terms of mechanics that grant you chests in addition to the obvious combat challenges and so on. I don't even know why they didn't add the shooting challenges outside of Jinzhou, it's so weird not to see those.

Granted 2.6 is too low here and 1.0 is bloated by various non-exploration astrite, but 2.2, 2.4, and 2.6 are very large landmasses, and kuro apparently has pretty strict limits on the amount of permanent astrite they're willing to add per area. Combine that with how overworld points of interest tend to give more pull currency than genshin, and the unsurprising result is fewer chests that are further apart.My big issue with the current density is that it kind of loses the so-called "breadcrumb" level design popularized by zelda and genshin, where after finding one thing, there's usually something else nearby visible in the world that draws you to it, and then from there there's ANOTHER thing slightly further on, and so on. When things are too spread out you lose that dynamic, and I think that's commonly been the case from 2.2 onwards. To me it feels less like I'm naturally exploring, and more like I'm moving down a checklist of points marked on my map.

Newfag here, just got to Rinascita.The map is pretty impressive and the lighting at different times makes it look great. I also like how the main story is pushing me forward through the map instead of having this huge ass continent like Jinzhou where it feels random, idk how to put it. Characters like Zani being your companion through the story is also a big plus, I love her design and mannerisms. They have talented people writing lore but the actual game that people interact with has none of that writing or exposure to such elements. It's completely tertiary. Wuwa does have lore and enlightened niggas (like the one talking about the cult of Ishtar) will pick up on it because it's from a shared language of hermeticism that comes from a body of occult and metaphysical knowledge. The overall approach is a lot less hands-on and I'm okay with that. Meanwhile, the writers over that HoYoVerse are trying their best to emulate Nomura and are remixing such themes with their own OCs. I appreciate the effort but the games themselves have such bad execution you would never know it even exists. Wanderer makes a comment about how the sky/stars aren't even real in an event players can't even access anymore and it's one of the deeper moments of lore in the game buried underneath hundreds of hours of nothing.

I picked up Wuwa a week or so ago after exhausting all of Genshin's 6.0 content, and I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised with everything. From what I see, Wuwa releases exploration updates almost every patch in 2.X, but they tend to be less "dense" than Genshin's which are also more infrequent, perhaps? Iuno's aerial bow mode allows you to completely bypass so many boss moves while spamming attacks. You can even go a bit higher with a grappling hook and basically stay at like 4 jump distances above the ground for the next 10 seconds while attacking.
