I've got 250 hours in this game and I'm still complete shit at it, man. I don't know what it is but nothing clicks. Get mopped up every single game, whether I'm solo or with my friends. I play a lot of characters to a passable degree except strategist but only because I don't like any of them except Rocket. I'm centurion or higher on Venom, Magneto, Hulk, Winter Soldier, Magik, Phoenix, Namor, and Rocket, and I've recently picked up Wolverine since Angela is kind of bringing back 2 tank meta. I'll get a good game every now and then (not bots), My numbers or final hits are respectable nearly every game aside from when I go on a winning streak and have to fight semi-pro players in quick play where we just get steamrolled. I watch high elo replays on YouTube of characters I like from top 500 players, I watch the tutorial videos, I use the practice range a good amount, but it seems like when I'm actually playing I can't do jack shit. I have more wins than losses in my career, roughly 58% wins, and I feel like I play well even when I lose, I target supports then dps then tanks in that order unless I'm Wolverine. This is my first competitive shooter so I don't really know what I'm doing. I know I need to improve but I don't know how to improve other than doing what I'm doing.tldr how do I genuinely improve at this game?

I picked this game up in late August and my WR has plummeted since the S4 launch. Last season I felt like I was doing pretty well learning the game and climbing through the ranks, hit Plat 1 by the end after around 25 hours of playtime, had a 54% WR overall and a 72% WR on my main.This season I've been as low as a 32% overall WR, up to 44% now and I don't understand what changed. Is it just an early season thing, with better/more experienced players in the lower ranks, or do I just suck way more than I thought? Also, does queuing with a group increase the likelihood of facing stacks? I find I lose far more often when duo queuing with my friend.
