1. Minefields.
Top 1, not even close. Relatively expensive mid-end game solution to any shit that walks.
2. Psycasters.
Your problems will solve themself with a few carefully placed bersekr pulses.
Psykers will ether remove the problem or act as a top tier support for your combat pawns.
3. Shooting specs / trigger happy gunners.
Just give them miniguns or sniper rifles and watch shit dying.
A simple sandbags or even stone chunks and a little bit of kiting is good enough for defense.
4. Hussars.
You will be surprised how good they are.
Just recruit some hussy, give her Go-Juice and let her cook.
5. Biotech in general.
Just №4 on crack. Make your own unkillable ubermensches.
6. Simple choke points.
You don't need trap-mazes or any other buggery. A hole in the wall where you have cover and your enemies don't is good enough. And some raids will be so generous that they'll make a hole for you right where they attack. Just build a wall for them to breach and prepare the perimeter with simple sandbags for cover.
7. Many other things.
8. Literally all of the above combined and adapted to your map and your base.
Be creative.

Some of my slaves are ignoring ritual execution summons, is this a bug or am I missing something, there is still some space left in the room for them to squeeze in.
They were on the list of participants when I started the ritual but they just ignored it.
Also this slave specifically has missed multiple rituals so it may not be random, not sure about the others.

Am I missing something about how xenotype definitions are handled, on the savefile side? You can't design a xenotype that mixes xeno and endogenes, since toggle for heritability is binary and independent of genelist itself. Which directly fucks with xenotype preferences in ideologies, since you can't even properly add an improved genotype to them - or does the code just checks for gene alignment to xenotype, no matter if its endo or xeno? Does a xenogerm pigskin count as a pigskin for ideology?
Sure I can just ignore the preferred xenotype when I intend to play with gene editing, but that's no fun.

Sustainable how? Because keeping everyone fed here requires a lot of raiding and shopping.
I do wish cloth didn't spawn magically from the picked cotton, there should be a intermediary step.
And then there is the fact that 'crafting' skill is interchangeable, so I could turn my slaves into experts drug producers or bionic limbs makers in an instant by swapping the workshops.

People shit on The Book, but almost every item in Rimworld serves a niche and purpose. Sure, there are gaps you can fills with modded content but a lot of mods, and VE shit especially, drown you with bullshit that's there for it's own sake, not to do something distinct and interesting.

Yeah I am not sure what is going on I think the get hungry faster on the map, I checked that caravan and they indeed ate all the food as they traveled.
This and the sleep bug, where some pawns don't sleep unless you have the world map open is making me want a mod for a better shuttle.
I have two in my base but they carry only 5-6 pawns.
So I sent caravan with my slaves and only send shuttles when they reach whatever we are raiding. Or if getting steel/wood, then the caravan is enough.
Problem, even with a bigger modded shuttle, the 'reform caravan' button is much better than waiting for them to load everything manually into the shuttles, I wonder if there is a mod that lets you add that UI to the shuttles.

I think they just increase path cost. the pathing logic will attempt to path around them because they cost more to go through, and I can shoot over them. Most of the time raids will path over the barbed wire because it costs less movement.

I accepted a quest that sent 3 raids to me, the first one was easy as they tried to siege me and mortars fucked them up, the second one came right after and landed in the middle of my base, next to the mortars and shells, they blew up in the firefight and killed two of my slaves, but at least none of my colonist died.

Started the playthrough just to see the new entity from Yuran but I can't trigger it reliably with void provocation because apparently it shares the same entry as Yuran Miko, which is automatically unlocked the moment I spot one on the map and they come often as visitors or raiders. Already did a few provocations with a completed entity codex and I still haven't encountered it, so I guess I'll do the monolith ending first and then gamble on the provocations until I get it or get sick of it, unless it has another trigger I'm not aware of.
The newly added gloriolas are pretty gaudy and I have mixed feelings about it, but I do love the tall cherry trees.
