It's not for everyone, especially MRlets. Buy the omni forma and focus on the other parts of the game to build your power instead of fomoing in an event you can't farm efficiently. I only use protoframe skins in 1999 missions. And I switch them from the appearance tab so I dont have to do the animation on every mission. Protoframes are a waste of resources since most of the game is outside 1999.
