HSR and by extension every modern Gacha has the same problem, which is pumping up new characters every month and completely throwing them away forevermore afterwards. Instead of trying to get us emotionally invested in new characters all the time, they should release new weapons/powers/whatever that come with an altered appearance (or totally new skin) for a set cast and add a few new characters a year. They'll never do this though because every playerbase in every fucking gacha is retarded and they'd never accept it.
