IV gives me lonely/self-contained story vibes, so most characters are probably a tier lower than they should be. If the plot is to get Sora back home then there's not really much room for others to appear or develop when they're in separate dimensions, and only Riku's making real progress.

I think the actual plot will be about something else, ie Sora being told about some evil plan (likely gonna be about helping Yozora getting his life back) so he decides to stay in Unreality to help, and that opens up everyone to join in if they want to write it that way

I really hope Kh4 has more npc dialogue. I liked what they did with KH3 but with the npcs having their radiant dialogue but i also kinda want more optional dialogue too. I really don't need them to be voiced though. Or at least have more dialogue without needing all of it voiced.
I also really want more explorable buildings. It's not something that would work for every level but at least those that have a lot of buildings. Like Quadratum. I was pretty sad that Corona, twilight town and san fran didn't have buildings you could go into.

The very end of 3? Like a year and a few months. We don't really know how long KH1 takes to cover from beginning to end but Sora is 14. Nomura said Sora's birthday is the day the game released so that's in March. If it's accurate to the japanese then they were trying to finish the raft before storm season which approximately starts in July.
So let's say they're in like May or June. In any case the reason this matters is because from the day Sora stabbed himself to release the princesses it takes one year to get to the opening of KH2, as that is when Days begins counting. Not that it matters but apparently Sora was in Castle Oblivion for almost an entire month lmao.
Anyways this all matters is because when Sora awakens Hayner, Pence, and Olette are still on their school vacation. Now Disney is American but Nomura is Japanese so if he based their school vacation off the "common" knowledge of the time most japanese schools go on vacation, which the internet says is commonly around 40-odd days from July 20 to August 31, then it's not the end of August yet. If they left Destiny Islands Before storm season around April and Twilight Town summer vacation hasn't ended yet and Hayner Pence and Olette basically saw Sora maybe a week and some change ago then it's been a year and a few months from KH1 to KH3 Twilight Town(give or take a few months, not accounting for unquantifiable time differences as all worlds have their own time axis or for how long it took to get from the beginning of KH1 to the point Sora stabs himself).
Can't really tell how long it took to get from KH3 Twilight Town to the very epilogue where Sora disappears. Maybe two weeks, because multiple days pass in San Fransokyo, The Caribbean, Arrendelle, And Corona.

For you real veterans of this series, is it true that the story of Kh2 was leaked way back when adn everyone called it bullshit?

I mean yeah it was leaked but that was normal back in the day. You have some games pokemon games getting leaked almost 1 month before release and KH games during that era always got leaked like 1-2 weeks early specially with how common it was for videogame stores to not give a shit about embargo and selling the game early to employees and to friends of friends.
But since the games released first in japanese you only ever hear and see those on forums or blogs dedicated to KH and yes you have people saying it's photoshopped or fake and mods (at least in khinsider) were deleting threads talking about the leaks

Speaking of KH2 outside of like one or two things it's easily the most "hype moments and aura" game in the series in the worst way possible.

It's not gonna happen because they're never gonna waste the money to do it but goddamn did KH3 need a final mix treatment. Remind added post game stuff and basically an extra scenario but it could have used a few more things interspersed throught the earlier parts of the game. Or at least rerelease a version with Remind as part of the game.

A new set of official Kingdom Hearts Keyblade pins were revealed during Disney's 25 Years of Pin Trading event today, held at Walt Disney World.

The pins will be exclusively available for purchase at both Disney Land and Walt Disney World parks in 2026. The pins will be released on a monthly basis, with 12 in total.

Being for real though Sora rarely breaks the world order, even in KH2 where they don't mention it they don't go around telling people they're from other worlds. Sora's a dumbass so he tends to blab but he tries. Best demonstrated in Pride lands where he jokes about becoming king but isn't serious about it and knows that he can't interfere in the fight between scar and simba for the right to be king and really only intervenes when scar becomes a heartless. Now he does interfere with Ursula but that wasn't like with simba and scar where the strongest would be the recognized ruler of the the land.

Rumor has it that Kanemori was rehired back after he finished work on Pokemon Masters at DeNA which is how this happened. He was gone as of 2020 when he stopped appearing as the battle system director in credits. There is also the likelihood that Osaka is being consolidated into a single Creative Studio. That's how SaGa was folded under Kitase as a part of Creative Studio 2. The studio KH is under will likely also be a Kitase one which I think is Creative Studio 4. Tatsuya Kando was a part of it as of Crisis Core Reunion probably but then he became the fall guy for Missing Link. Not even Nomura could stop him from leaving.

Tomohiro Kayano and Jun Akiyama aren't here and their chances are smaller. They last worked on World of Final Fantasy and Tactics Ogre Reborn (probably Tactics Chronicles too) but haven't been seen since. I would argue Masanori Sato belongs here but he's likely about to finish Rebirth very soon unless he thinks the team can make levels without him looking over them. Kentarow Yasui, Masahide Tanaka, Takeshi Endo and Takeshi Arakawa probably aren't coming back.
