Classic+ still falls into the same pit traps as normal WoW in which raidlogging is the only thing to do, since WoW wasn't built for evergreen content/sidegrade content/sandbox goals. This kills the server population as people don't want to play alts. Turtle wins by having a functioning hardcore, leveling challenges, and enough new zones, dungeons, and quests that people will always be leveling alts to see stuff they didn't see their first go around or do HC/another challenge. Not only that, but they have slow and steady which gives you 200 store tokens when you hit 60 and the entire challenge can be circumvented with tent use. Epoch has none of this and is basically just Vanilla with a few extra quests and 2 dungeon revamps. So no matter what Epoch does, as long as the content is this dry and the raids still aren't out, the server is going to nosedive. Meanwhile people will still be comfortably leveling on Turtle forever.

I enjoy levelling up different classes, gearing up with dungeons and doing some pvp. The only reason I ever did raids was the gear, because of the fact that it exists and if you don't get it your character is gimped vs everyone else. The game would be so much better if raids just flat out didnt exist and they just made more 5-10 man dungeons.

Not quite on the same level as some of the crazy secrets on retail, but there is one "hidden", as in not marked with an exclamation mark, scavanger hunt through Northwind, which I really enjoyed. It's fairly simple in its design and is made so as long as you paid attention to the zone while questing, you'll be able to solve it. It not only rewards you for solving and finding all the pieces, it encourages being attentive and engaging with the quests and zone, which is a really nice touch.Would love to see more like it for new or even old zones.
