I thought it was a ray of sunlight illuminating a point where you need to use it, but looks like there's plenty of sunlight rays that don't result in shit when you use Silk Soar.Also distance limit is extremely disappointing. Okay, I"m starting to understand the complaints youtubers have made over difficulty but they really suck at articulating it. Runbacks like the one in Bilewater, benches in later areas requiring rosaries where there aren't enemies that drop them, and tools needing fragments aren't great. You have to deal with most of that through grinding. In the case of rosaries you sometimes need to go grind in an earlier area just to run back to the bench and activate it. This kind of stuff is less difficult and more disrespectful. Outside of that I don't think the core gameplay is particularly hard which is why the complaints didn't make sense to me at first.

I used to hate the Craws in the beginning of the game because I found them too tanky. At the end of the game though, they are kino as hell. Even though Hornet massacred them in beginning, they still called her out and decided to judge her for her sins. I like when simple mobs have something of soul. It's pretty simple to see the design difference between HollowKnight ant Silksong. They are both Metroidvanias but Hollowknight more Castelvania than Metroid while Silksong is more Metroid then Castlevania. I went out of my way to beat Groal without the wreath or tools with the Hunter's Crest on my second playthrough and the boss still felt like dogshit and I died like 5 times. I think the fight would become somewhat okay if he only charged you after the grab attack. Because after he throws spit at you you can go in for an attack but then he charges into you and you take 2 masks of damage unless you expect it. It was probably my fault I got hit but this isn't a fight I would want to spend a lot of time on (I still won).
