I (Alchemist shitter) have been seeing increased success in my play by just sticking to my lane and running it down half the match, either taking the enemy walker eventually or forcing multiple enemies to defend it which helps the rest of my team. But at what point should I drop out of lane to participate in a brool? A player complained that I wasn't doing that today but I was so focused on laning and fucking with the one enemy trying to protect their walker that I didn't know the teamfight was happening. Earlier still a Mirage accused me of being AFK even though I had the highest souls, damage, objective damage and healing on the team but didn't participate in more than a couple group fights. I think running down lanes is overall good but I can't determine the point where I need to rotate and focus on something more important.

Is taking walkers with the enemy right there too risky? Oftetimes when I'm splitpushing even if I have a teammate or two with me the call is made to back up once they show even if we're even in numbers but does the walkers presence really justify that enough?
