But the real nail in the coffin was all that “DEVS LISTENED!” talk that Wuwa pushed, and everyone at Hoyoverse felt pressured to also give their own “DEVS LISTENED!” Even HSR and Genshin got hit by that, but since ZZZ was the youngest of those games, it was the one most pressured of all. And our devs listened, out of desperation they changed things that were core to the game just to compete with Wuwa over which game’s devs “listen” more. Don’t try to tell me that’s a lie or didn’t happen, Wuwa is indirectly the reason for ZZZ’s current situation and deep down you all know it. What happened is ZZZ’s devs changed things that were never supposed to be changed, they lost the game’s original direction, and now they’re split between continuing to “listen” to the playerbase or doing what Star Rail did and what Mihoyo in general does, which is to follow their own direction regardless of what the general audience wants. In a way, I think they’re doing a great job not powercreeping older characters too much, and it’s sad that so few people give them credit for that, because if they really wanted to they could just release a character that powercreeps Miyabi. And you know what’s the irony? Everyone would be happy.
