Star Rail would be so much less of a time sink if you could skip dialogue as easily as you could in a VN, but oftentimes you have to wait for the character to finish a basic animation before it'll let you skip. It slows the game down a lot. They just added a skip function, but it consists of a choice before any dialogue cutscene where option 1 is "listen to so-and-so's tale" and option 2 is "observe from afar" or some shit. So once you're in dialogue, you're stuck and can't skip from there.Baby steps, I guess, but jesus.

I really liked it. It was emotional enough for me and the quality of the production was top-notch The thing that bothered more was that this should have been March's time to shine, they could have used Dan Feng/ Dan Heng spiel on another patch and done in a better way with more time, I think it was time wasted where could have been more characterisation for Evernight and March. In terms of visual, cinematics and their direction I see that the developers are listening to the more critical voices in the fandom (the whole show don't tell) and that's amazing, the only gripe I may have in this department (and this is nitpicking mind you) is that the reunion should have had music playing on the background to evoke more feelings (taking this page out of hi3's more intense moments), it was the only reason I didn't cry actually, but I can respect the direction. Writing, as always is top-notch, not the sassy/ satire driven HSR but, again, I can respect the choice, there is only so much you can add and, in a patch like this, it would feel out of place. This arc is an epic and they did an amazing job intertwining the 3 path's and explaining that the Aeons are already at war. You may not notice this but for someone that likes to read Epics the poem format is usually the prefered type to convey the complexity of the narrative and usually it's what it gives an Epic it's flare, so it's perfectly normal to have so many figures of speech, expressive resources and subtle words with deep meaning attached and I think they did an amazing job, it is not easy. The direction of the story, they may have shot themselves with chekhov's gun in the form of the "demiurge", if it was Cyrene. If it wasn't we should eventually discover who was he/she/it. Appart from that I have nothing more to say.Overall it was a solid update, fufm haters and people who cannot read a paragraph without rolling your eyes and saying tldr
