I kinda don't like any character anymore. I liked Jin in t7 because his animations were pretty stylish, but in t8 everyone is bland. I think tekken completely lost its design philosophy - just compare how cool and edgy was t4 and how tasteless is t8. There's no general design guidance in t8, especially for character design. Also everyone now has some magic beams moves and everyone is flying around the map doing fucking triple air flips and shooting laser, but it looks wacky in tekken settings. I think only Heihachi has somewhat good animations in t8. SF has all these crazy cartoonish characters with very exaggerated personalities and themes expressed in visuals - tekken was always semi-grounded and subtle, but it had some amount of power fantasy and supernatural to keep it interesting. It worked because it wasn't over the top, but now it doesn't, because tekken became over the top without changing visuals for the characters. For example, Azucena is extremely boring - she's literally just a random chick and nothing else.

Because as annoying as comeback mechanics are they pale in comparison to snowballing.You start the game with some supermoves locked out and then there is a mechanic that can lead to some heavy snowballing for the whole match.
