Yes it does it in different instances.

Also tested various settings changes and the issue persists. It's not even the game hitching, the mouselook behavior just seems to randomly change on a whim for no apparent reason. Sensitivity sperging out. I have a good mouse, a G502 Hero, I have never encountered this issue. Should I fullscreen the game?

Anyone played Magic Crusade? Apparently it adds stats, classes, spells, weapons, dungeons, and a dimension. Never heard it being mentioned for some reason.

Skill-based progression is a complete mess without heavy configuration. Having tool & weapon tiers, enchantments, magic buffs, AND a skill system on top of it all feels excessive. One or the other is fine, like if you gimp most tiers and magic (or remove them completely) to make you rely on skills for the majority of progression. Otherwise it's overwhelming.

What causes chunk lighting errors like this? This particular floor is exposed to the sky so it should always be light, but the room below it is inconsistently dark and spawning monsters when I come back into the world. There's plenty of lighting, the problem is it's not working properly.

Level 15 is ideal for iron, or high up in mountains. For diamonds and redstone go to -55, you'll be above the lava lakes. Just remember to bring plenty of torches, there is no coal down there.

The modpack includes a readme with a further instruction on how to join the server, which is open to all including cracked clients.

Pathserb is known for its friendly atmosphere, large pre-genned world and rustic industrial building style. There are several large player-built towns which are connected by various transportation services, including steam railways, metro trams and functioning boats. This is all enabled by use of the mod Create which, among many other features, allows turning a group of blocks into an entity which can be ridden.
In the wilds many signs of worldpainting and creative mode builds can be found built by the admin, a well-known regular of /mmcg/ who is usually referred to by Anonymous posters with the acronym TJF. Among his many exploits the most mentionable might be the creation of a challenging dungeon in the frozen lands of the north. Which only two players on the server have so far managed to conquer.

Pathserb started early 2025 and is intended to last for two years. There have not been any major outages. Peak activity was recorded in early June with 9 concurrent players, but has now declined due to the end of the summer holidays. The serb is far from dead though and activity is expected to pick up again in the coming months. The modpack has been kept stable in expectation of a large update to the Create mod, which has been delayed for many months.

Because shaders don't make it look good. The world is still made up of 1 meter wide blocks, if you suddenly have realistic lighting and shadows and rippling water it just looks completely incongruous. It's same as ultra high res texture packs, 32x32 is maybe acceptable but most of the 64x64 ones and all of the 128x128 ones just look completely fucking autistic when they're still slapped on just flat cube faces.

If you want to be really autistic about not making minecraft look like a shitty block game, then the first thing you need to do is a complete model replacement that makes trees round, somehow renders the terrain with flexible voxels that don't look like stacked cubes, etc. etc. I don't know if it's even possible to make this look good considering the world is still made of cubes under the hood. You might need to figure out a way for custom collisions afterwards.
THEN, once you've got the basic geometry looking better than giant cubes, then and only then you can start adding shaders and higher res textures and claiming that it looks "good".

Yes when, first of all you add normal maps to cobble and add a bunch of custom models like that wheel for example, and secondly you take a picture at an angle where the only thing you see close up are the grass and leaves and all the blocky details are in the distance, and most of them are hidden by the forest anyway.
Even in this pic, the jagged cubic edges of the "straw roof" stand way the fuck out against the high-res straw texture, even at a distance. It's a small detail in the overall lush and verdant picture, but if you actually walked up to the house, then the illusion of the normalmapped cobble would fade away, the wood log wall's round log texture that works at a distance would instead become jarringly flat when up close, all the flaws with the realistic straw cutting off at perfect 90* angles would be right in your face, and it would look like utter garbage.

Gregtech is not punishing, it just has a lot of machine tiers and you need to a) learn how to automate things rather than handcrafting everything one by one, and b) it'll still take you a while to finish it.
GTNH is a modpack basically built to be as grindy as possible. It's centered around gregtech but it adds a lot of changes and integrates a lot of other mods into the mix. It's not so much difficult as it's just designed from the ground up to take 5000 hours to complete. The early game is extremely grindy and you have nothing and the mobs are pretty dangerous so you could consider that "punishing", but it's only the early game so even if you die and get ganked and everything explodes you don't lose much.

Like I said earlier, this shit either needs MASSIVE work to redo all the models and how blocks blend into each other and basically rebuild the rendering (and maybe collision) engines, or it simply looks bad in 99.9% of cases.

The snow being cut up into cubes is par for the course with everything else I said, this world was clearly constructed by artificially cleaving together things. You'll notice there's nothing gregtech in that screenshot at all. It only the test world since I had to reconfigure my power generation. screenshot. My current set up relied heavily on laserio and it is causing massive framerate stutters whenever it turns on. The new setup will use fluid P2Ps and small interface/storage bus networks to distribute fluids instead.

What gets me (besides the fact at why I'm playing GT at all) is why I'm using fucking RF generation for GT. If your pack is supposed to be GT babymode why go through the hassle of adding and balancing powergen from another mod (and it still requires big spam anyway) when you could just tweak GT's native powergen?
