So the event occurred, but they were all out cold at the same time. Dante did obtain the EGOs, as he knows he has them, but doesn't know where they came from or how he acquired them. Dante can remember the Doktah's words but not who said them. It's pretty similar to the case with Cathy, where actions are not deleted, but the origin of them is gone. This is also the only example of Dante's memory being blurred or affected in some way since the start. Nebulae...
