idk which one to post this so I'll just drop it here
insane game
it really showcases the brilliance required to break through real defence

I will be posting in this one

You post in the first one that gets posted, that's the side wide rule, but this guy is throwing a hissy fit that he didn't get to make it so we can post here since it means that much to him, whatever.

yeah but I don't like that one
don't know why some retard felt the need to change the normal op that's more than a year old
>>
>>540412680
You don't like it because you didn't make it. Your OP is shit. lichess is shit and the team is dead, it's also pointless to link the previous thread because this board isn't archived. There is nothing special about your OP except the fact that you made it. That other thread was my first time making a thread and I thought it would be fun to give it a try but apparently I stepped on your toes and you have to plug lichess, so whatever. Won't bother again.
>>
>>540411478
so you didn't threadsplit for the gothamjew op or the gay furry porn op but this is where you draw the line? You have weird priorities man
I like this OP better too but this is pasteintrannyesque behaviour

>this guy is throwing a hissy fit that he didn't get to make it so we can post here since it means that much to him
I made the last thread and many others before that and he didn't threadsplit so I think he's just really triggered by faustino for whatever reason

I don't understand anons who unironically join it. I would never want to call myself an anon publicly. It's like self-humiliation.

It used to be worth it when it was active, you could have arenas with up to 10 anons and bantz in the general. Now it averages 2 people per the rare arena, I don't understand OP's obsession with making it a staple. It's over lol

Do you also play drunk bullet/blitz nights, anons?
From time to time, when I decide to get drunk until passing out, I make a new account at 400 on chesscum, bring it to 100 by two/three fast losses by resign, and start playing while drinking until blackout.
Tonight is another drinking night. I got a bombay sapphire gin with tonic.

>>
>>540418274
No it's nothing special, it's not unusual for top players to farm the Grand Swiss and end up with an inflated rating. It was after the Grand Swiss that Alibozo Fraudloza broke "2800" and was ranked #2. Giri got favorable matchups and had a decent performance but he's still Drawish Giri, don't expect anything
>>
I have a diamond membership and I literally never play against cheaters. So there really must be a different pool for premium players, with only 100% non-cheating players.

>>540413149

You're definitely playing them it's just a matter of them being banned. I actually stopped using the cheat report option and choose "other" so I can explain why I think they cheated and at what points, similar to on lichess, and it has a higher success rate. If you never suspect anyone and don't try to bring attention to them they might fly under the radar longer.
It could also be a matter of rating, I don't know your rating but it's rare for people to be above 2000 which makes it much more common for people above that rating to be cheating
That said I also had premium (the pic was on an alt) and I did notice they didn't give me as many new accounts and pfp-less random third world accounts, but tried to give me other premium players who seemed like real people, so I do think you're part of a better pool
>>

>>
>>540421212
So you literally somehow manage to be a contrarian about literal proof of banned cheats, no wonder you can't be convinced of any explanation. Even when they're literally banned for cheating you're still going "Yeah sure dude all cheaters sure". What?
>>
>>540421586
if you're unironically avoiding bullet at 1500 because you're afraid it will stop you from becoming the super GM you are destined to be you're completely being cucked by anon-coaches. at some point you can just enjoy the fucking game even if it's not technically optimal by some random bozo online's idea of how you're supposed to get better.

Lol it's so confusing. If I had posted that I thought I played 4 cheats in 13 games that guy would have been ranting about "cheating schizos", but there's literal proof for you. That's the rate you sometimes encounter them. They're really out there!
>>
>>540399952
Because in blitz, sometimes, the fast-paced time control leads to your opponent making really bad tactical oversights that result in an instant effortless victory for you, assuming equal skill and equal pattern recognition abilities. This is an unavoidable part of fast chess if the opponent wants to maximize his chances (thinking too carefully about every move really, really risks a loss by time later on), and is something that happens at all skill levels with varying frequency (see: TT blunder compilations on youtube and the like). In other words, there is always a "dice roll" with some chance of you getting an easy win.

"Easy rewards on a dice roll" is literally the reason people throw away thousands upon thousands of dollars on Vegas casinos hoping to win just one more time. At this point i don't even have to explain why blitz is mega fucking extremely addictive. But at least it's a healthier game mode than bullet, that's for sure.
>>
can someone explain to me the "pastebin tranny" thing? i know it has something to do with the /tg/ /vg/ split and some mod but nothing else.
>>
>>540420458
What do you write when you report them out of curiosity? Just looking for a protocol
>>
>>540423839
Sure, something like:
>Started the game at an estimated 1700 level, no knowledge of Sicilians, blundered a clean piece on move 12, took a long pause then played either top or second best Stockfish moves for the rest of the game to outclass me from a losing position. This player is not 2000 and if you look at his games there is probably a consistent difference in level between start and finish.

Just something like that, it can be more succinct and particular in a real case scenario. I always get more responses doing this because I think just clicking “report cheat” goes to some automated system that says “Nah he blundered a piece” and moves on, but clicking “Other” gets actual eyes on it and can get across the nuance.

So I’ve decided to give this semen slurping game a try. How long until I break 2000 in all time controls? Also, is it realistic at that point to dream of going on to become titled?
>>
>How long until I break 2000 in all time controls?
It depends on the person. Odds are you will never do that, it’s a rating that’s unachievable for the majority players who have been playing and studying for over a decade. So if you do, probably not for years. But there also people with natural talent for the game who can get that strong in just a few years. So maybe not at all, maybe tomorrow. Depends on the person.
>Also, is it realistic at that point to dream of going on to become titled
If you’re the sort of person who can break 2000 in a few years probably, but those sorts of people tend to have better things to put their mind to. We had a poster here do that and then she left and went to law school. See also this bit of an interview with Magnus Carlsen:

>SPIEGEL: Mr Carlsen, what is your IQ?

>Carlsen: I have no idea. I wouldn’t want to know it anyway. It might turn out to be a nasty surprise.

>SPIEGEL: Why? You are 19 years old and ranked the number one chess player in the world. You must be incredibly clever.

>Carlsen: And that’s precisely what would be terrible. Of course it is important for a chess player to be able to concentrate well, but being too intelligent can also be a burden. It can get in your way. I am convinced that the reason the Englishman John Nunn never became world champion is that he is too intelligent for that.

>SPIEGEL: How’s that?

>Carlsen: At the age of 15, Nunn started studying mathematics in Oxford; he was the youngest student in the last 500 years, and at 23 he did a PhD in algebraic topology. He has so incredibly much in his head. Simply too much. His enormous powers of understanding and his constant thirst for knowledge distracted him from chess.

It’s always midwit adult improoovers like /ourguy/ Stepan who decide they’re going to become titled players. Just play the game and have a good time.
>>
>>540454048
Chess.com 2000 never, but you can break lichess 2000 in just a few months
>>
>>540454048
Depends on your talent and the time you can dedicate to chess. I've seen people do it in months with autistic dedication and natural feel for the game but breaking through in like 1-2 year(s) is still good. However, most people never make it even after years and years of trying. So you just have to see if you have the talent and decide if you wanna study/practice chess like a university subject.
I'm guessing the question is about online, which is easier but online ratings do not necessarily transfer to otb and you're still very far from a titled player's strength.

Our friend Lordbentham has lost a game of BLITZ! This happened 2 days ago. What about Rapid games, you may ask? Well, it's been 2 months since the last brilliancy. I wonder, when is he going to cheat again?

>>
>>540509297
I do not agree. When there is evil in this world that sole justic does not manage to defeat, you should be ready to taint your hands with evil to destroy evil. There is no justice in surrendering to evil, therefore just is becoming evil yourself, if it is to defeat evil.
>>
>>540509539
I guarantee you are gonna do that against humans too soon or more likely you already have, you just want an excuse to cheat
>>
>>540510067
This will not happen. I will not let myself be corrupted by something so shallow. Cheating against animals if they do not deserve the win is fine. I was not playing a human being. Had I fought a human, I would have laughed at my own stupidity and proceeded to play by myself, or resigned like an honourable man, wishing my opponent a nice day.

I am not suggesting they are doing it so I have to do it too. I am suggesting they are evil per se peccatum, by itself, and it is not sinful to destroy evil with evil, for true justice needs to taint the hands to destroy the evil from time to time.

Incorrect on every level
It is the thirdie that can't conceive of the game beyond material consideration, this is the foundation from which the thirdie is constructed.
Thus they leave the game when they are suddenly losing being up material. Its nothing beyond not being physically capable of mentally processing such a possibility.
Pic related, you would've resigned like a good lil goy when you were down material as white here while I found an advantage with ease and checkmated the worthless thirdie
>>
>>540536626
there's a difference between being down an exchange and a pawn while your opponent's king is in danger vs having only a king and pawns vs an opponent with a queen + bishop. that sentence may have been poorly constructed and somewhat difficult to parse though.

It's interesting how sometimes stockfish seems retarded in endgames, here it gives queening as winning when even a shitter like me could tell at glance it isn't because after Bxc8 the knight is needed to stop the f pawn and white has no advantage to speak off

seems like a good puzzle to me and involves calculation?
>>
>>540597330
They are obvious in the sense that they are the most natural not in the sense that it's obvious they work
>https://lichess.org/training/CRc18
A lot of people go "grug me give check then me take tempo on the queen grug grug" without thinking and stockfish kindly gives them the queen massively deflating the puzzle rating while the other lines aren't so obvious, not saying that it's super hard to see the problems for white after 28...Qc8 Qxa7 followed by ... Qc5 and I'm also to blame for initially stopping my calculation at qc8 but it's not 1900lipuzzle level or even 2300 level stuff
>>540597548
That one is a fine puzzle albeit underrated but I was tilted by wasting so much time on the previous 2 and decided to mindlessly play the natural move thinking "fuck it lichess just punishes you for thinking", got in wrong and tilted even more
Then I switched to higher difficulty and it started giving me the easiest shit ever which sent me into feral rage for some reason, I'm still seething hard 30 minutes later
>>
>>540564078
Agreed.
>>
>>540596757
Yes, that feeling of wasting time looking at diagrams for 5 min or even more to get the fucking puzzle wrong gets me every time. I always try to see the bright side and say something like " Ok, I didn't see that, let's learn this pattern and understand how it works"

If you want to have a nice book, try pic related... but you will get mad at certain points because sometimes the author decides that you have to calculate the blunder to see the real answer, something like
>answer: b4 ... Qh4
>but the beautiful tactic comes if Ra1???
and that gets me angry as fuck

I love this Building Habits series. I was thinking chess was all about finding "le best move" and aphorisms like "when you see a good move, look for better." But GM Hambleton has shown me that the real way to win in online blitz chess is just to focus on developing your pieces, hanging some pawns, trading down into a losing endgame, and then winning or drawing in time trouble. I just gained over 100 points (over 1350 Chess.com blitz) following this simple strategy every game, and I feel like the sky's the limit.

>>540688713
No. It’s a hypermodern opening, which is a school of openings that allows Black to take over the board and get an advantage while Black intends to undermine and outplay them. It’s played by strong players trying to avoid a draw against weaker opponents, and creating chances for both sides. Beginners are not able to undermine White’s position effectively and just get run over. You should be playing a Queen’s Gambit or the Slav.
>>
>>540690081
*that allows White to take over the board and Black to try to outplay them
>>
>>540690171
Didn’t really need the clarification it was obvious what you meant. I disagree on saying new players shouldn’t play it (or any other offbeat opening) because there’s a chance they’ll get run over. If they have any sort of mental and emotional strength getting BTFO is the best way to learn. But I’ve noticed this general tends to be extremely weak minded and has in the inability to humble themselves
>>
>>540690081
Will look into the Slav then.

>>540690770
I'm willing to lose a few to learn a new opening
>>
>>540690867
do the semi slav if you prefer sex without a condom
>>
>>540690770
You don’t get better at the KID by getting BTFO, you get better by being a strong player who understands positions. All you’ll accomplish by spamming the KID as Black is losing until you change your mind and decide to play something more solid. Losing while playing more solidly is good to be able to study because the reasons you lost are more concrete, you will not understand why you lost in a KID and what to do better. You have to raise your baseline ability before you can even realize you’re blundering, let alone stop blundering. It’s basically the same as a driving a Lamborghini for your first car, sure you can make it go and turn onto roads and you feel like you’re driving, next thing you know you’re splattered on a tree.
>But I’ve noticed this general tends to be extremely weak minded and has in the inability to humble themselves
It’s actually you who needs to be humble, chess doesn’t reward chest-thumping Brads who think they’ll just brute force the game with pure aura. Drive a few cars before your first Lambo or get bent around a tree, your choice.
>>
>>540691720
>Drive a few cars before your first Lambo or get bent around a tree, your choice.

You misunderstand my point. The beauty of chess is that the stakes are not that high. Becoming a Max Verstappen is much more rare because the threat of death is very real and the basics of safety need to be taught early because people’s lives are at stake. In chess, it is completely different, you can afford to lose in dumb and speculative ways game after game as long as you are willing to learn from them.

That said, I am only arguing this point in principle alone. I think the KID is an opening for faggots and people shouldn’t play it generally. But that’s besides the point.
>>
>>540691720
>chest-thumping Brads who think they’ll just brute force the game with pure aura
thats exactly how it works actually but you wouldnt know because youre a beta male
>>
>>540692763
The risk of losing in the KID isn’t death, but it *is* stunting your development by not learning the fundamentals before you try to play advanced concepts that are over your head and will remain over your head after you’ve lost.
>>
>>540692990
So how would playing any other opening, where they are defeated by a master player and their loss is simply incomprehensible to them and they will never improve (I don’t believe this, but it seems to be your belief), any different?
>>
>>540693517
First of all, there is no reason for them to be playing “master players”, they would be beginners playing beginners. Second I already explained this, in order to get better at chess you have to start by learning the fundamentals, which results concrete chess. Once you know how to play concrete chess, you are someone who understands positions and correct piece placement. At that point, because you know the rules, you can break them. If you’re not learning the fundamentals because you’re already breaking the rules that you don’t even know, all you’re doing is losing games you could have won and not learning anything from them. And to answer your question, even losing to a master in a concrete game would work as a lesson, because the reasons you lost aren’t as complicated and abstract.

Picrel is an example of a common KID line. Beginners are taught to correctly develop their pieces and put their pawns on controlling squares. Their games are then meant to be about contesting control of the center, like most chess games, at all levels. Thus, they learn how to play chess.
At a higher level, players can play like picrel and intentionally break the opening rules to create a game with imbalance where they can play for a win as Black by initially ceding Whitw an advantage. There is no reason for a beginner to do this. You are not sufficiently acquainted with the rules to break them. You very frequently put pieces on the wrong squares, push the wrong pawns, don’t understand pawn breaks. You have other priorities than learning how to play hypermodern chess like you’re Garry Kasparov avoiding a draw.

Has he even read all those books? It takes me months to read a single chess book because I go over every position autistically and I go backwards to test my memory kinda like a manual spaced repetition thing. I mean, he has Dvoretsky's Endgame Manual on there and even Carlsen hasn't read it from cover to cover.

I knew a guy from /lit/ whose Goodreads had thousands of books "read" but it turned out he hadn't even read most of them. I knew this when I talked to him about certain books that I had actually read that were also in his "read" list. I knew something was off when he had big tomes like Marx's Capital, Hegel's The Phenomenology of Spirit, Whitehead's Process and Reality listed. Books like these, and Dvoretsky's Endgame Manual, take years to read and a lifetime to understand, so it's an easy tell.

The analysis is much better, the UI is a BILLION times better and I must assume you are blind to think otherwise, the lag is negligible and there isn't a retarded compensation system that favors thirldworlders like on .scam, most popular chess books have all the games and positions there in form of studies which is a massive time saver,no ads, no retarded belt and whistles that make the site run worse, the databases are great, has neural bots instead of a million flavors of gimped stockist, better live boards broadcasts etc
If only the likannies did their jobs .scam would have no reason to exists

you can only do it so many times in a row and the more you do it the quicker it will take to turn into resign, so remember to always hover on the button and make sure it says abort and not resign,

>>
>>540736368
You can just go for English that doesn't lose you 0.3 points in the first move. Bird weakens your kingside significantly and what do you do beside fighting for the center? you don't open literally any piece
english doesn't do any of the flaws
opens your queen, doesn't weaken your kingside, still fights, and the pawn there is almost always good, then the knight goes in and you just play chess

sure it doesn't suck for club players and online rapid blitz, but i wouldn't play that in a tournament game

Alright, buckle up, because this is too good. Have you ever seen Levy Rozman, a.k.a. GothamChess, and Leon Trotsky in the same room? No? Suspicious, right? I mean, seriously, the resemblance is uncanny. It's like Trotsky went through a time warp, landed in Brooklyn, and decided, "Forget the revolution, I'm gonna teach people the Sicilian Defense!"

The hair, the beard, that intense stare that could either checkmate you or overthrow a government—it's all there. And let's be real, it's not just a visual thing. Have you ever noticed how Levy breaks down complex chess strategies with the same fervor Trotsky used to dissect Marxist theory? It's like he's not just teaching you how to win at chess; he's preparing you for the inevitable proletariat uprising... on the 64 squares.

Now, I'm not saying Levy is secretly plotting a communist revolution from his streaming setup, but the resemblance does make you wonder, doesn't it? Is he really just a chess teacher, or is he waiting for the opportune moment to seize the means of pawn production? I mean, come on, with a face like that, you can't blame people for questioning his character!

>>540754558
It isn't but it tries to be in an awkward way. I was mostly put off by these elements:

>Levy Rozman, a.k.a. GothamChess
it doesn't seem necessary to say that, most would call him one or the other and the people on this board would understand. it seems like something gpt would write, in order to apply to a greater audience.

>It's like Trotsky went through a time warp, landed in Brooklyn, and decided "Forget the revolution, I'm gonna teach people the Sicilian Defense!"
There's nothing too offending about this sentence, just the way it is formed sounds like gpt's "creative writing." Aswell as this, the Sicilian isn't what Levy is known for, so it just seems like a popular chess opening was inserted in there.

>The hair, the beard, that intense stare that could either checkmate you or overthrow a government--it's all there.
Again sounds like gpt-ish "creative writing" that a real person might not write.

The entire paragraph seems to me like #relatable "witty" gpt writings that don't even make sense. The levy glazing only adds to it.

I just had a game where the opponent had a queen, and I had a queen and two rooks, literally nothing else on the board other than the kings. But they just wasted as much time as possible bouncing around doing every check they could on my king until I ran out of time. It's a common pattern for me.
>>
>>540774943
Try to get your king safe first, then pressure any weak pawns and pick them off. If ever you can get a queen trade off do it, and if you can harrass the enemy king do so as you will probably checkmate or win pawns.
>>
>>540774943
>checkmating in a reasonable timeframe
>the opponent had a queen
Your first order of business should be to exchange queens, not to checkmate. Make a little fortress of pieces around your king to avoid checkmates then try to exchange the queens off the board
>>
>>540775146
There were no pawns on the board. Trying to get my king safe is essentially the problem, whenever I start trying any kind of checkmating pattern the queen then comes out to check my king and it all turns into a jumble again.
>>540775303
This makes sense and is what I was attempting, but I guess I was doing it wrong somehow. I'd have my pieces next to the king so every time I was checked they'd block, but then the queen can just rotate around again forever, or even back to where the piece was originally blocking back and forth to try and force a draw.
>>
Maybe it's because I'm shitty, but 960 is either a one-sided slaughter or the most intense tactical battle of my life, no in-between. Blunders are 10x more devastating in 960.
>>
>>540775818
No pawns on the board? Just huddle your king so you can get 1 free move then there's surely a checkmating sequence.
>>
>>540776058
I've never played 960. I already have enough problems with normal chess

Hello /chess/
I’ve just published an article detailing my run to achieve a Bilateral Undefeated Proof (BUP): 111 Wins against Online Humans and 111 Wins against AI models on the same platform.
That’s 222 games with 0 losses and 0 draws.
This proof was executed with extreme efficiency. My total time recorded on the app for all 222 games was 8 hours and 33 minutes, meaning my average time per game was less than 2 minutes and 18 seconds. This wasn't just a challenge; it was an exploration of how the human cognitive anchor (Chess = Life) can achieve superior, high-speed consistency against both human psychology and computational strength. For the full breakdown of the philosophy, my Engine-Level conclusion, and how these results were achieved, please read the full story on Medium: https://medium.com/@andrejbracun/the-1-in-8-billion-human-my-journey-at-the-edge-of-human-ai-limits-a9188f3e7def
I'm here to answer any questions about the BUP methodology or my cognitive process.

I have been working on this project for 2 years. I had to play WOS which is a hiiiigjly pay to win game - a true money pit for a year to get the "annual report" and finish at x>99.96% of 30-50k people in the server.
I had to beat ChatGPT on Carlsen lvl strength [2800 ELO+] I forced him into making an illegal moves PGN is included, in the proof section - my move accuracy was 95.0%
I had to achieve 96% winrate online in 1/0 bullet chess with N=800+ games
I had to force a LLM to a logical breakdown during a philosophical debate
I had to achieve 18.0 kill to death ratio in a 1st person shooter
I had to ahieve 222 consecutive wins No slips. .no fall in concentration My screentime for the app im which I achieved that is 8h33m Exactly statistically split in half 111 vs AI 111 vs random human [you dont know who you play when you press new game on the platform]
And yes I actually did all that.

I posted all of my findings, validated by prominent external LLM [chatGPT] to the leading technology giants alongside the report which is in the medium article and comparison vs winning the lottery. I did that just yesterday I wanted to share my story and all my hard work to exactly the sceptics like you, my friend.
Back to your comment The irony of the whole matter is as follows;
Ofc I've shared my life's work so to say to persons close to me IRL But here comes the catch.
Person 1 is my father in law - he is a live confirmed witness for the Carlsen lvl match vs AI [ChatGPT] You see it was HIM that was :moving the pieces: for the AI .on the chess board. Cause you play via chess notation with him/it
Anyway..
Person 2 is my wife which who I live for 9 years now
AND! , because I now have a clear[er] estimate of your IQ, you will understand immediately:
I do not have what would you call "friends" IRL I never did. It's not that I cant have them I dont need them Unnecessary "variable" Too many possibilities or "miss calculations"
Both of them[person 1 + 2] are tooooo subjectively involved with my life in order for me to look at them as a valid :data response:
>>
>>540822761
On the medium article there is a download link with proof.rar Everything is there
If you want ELO in proof.rar is a transcription of chatGPT playing at 2800ELO+ and it resigns in move 36

He has thousands of videos on openings and analyses of master games where dude talks like an expert with authority about possible lines and variations. Petrosian could do this, Fischer did that because this and that.
Nigga, where do they take all of this from while being this rating? I never understand master games when I watch them.

Yeah, I didn't say he is the best. The best would be GM Milosz Szpar or GM Igor Janik. But he is the most popular one, with tons of subs and videos.
I cannot comprehend how a sub-2000 can talk with authority about master games. Dude has tons of these videos from 7 years ago when he was way lower than today, even.
Anyway, I finally achieved higher rating than him, so I'm happy.
