Your first game is still just as like to put you against a GM pro as it is to put you against a retard topaz. This is true for everyone, and in subsequent stages there's no fixing for the "quality" that you ran up against. 60% is an incredible win rate for a high end player. It won't qualify on average without getting lucky. We are given a number of attempts but each one exists in a vacuum. Because of your matches are sectioned, you can be consistently high win rate and still fail to qualify. Even a player with as high as an 80% win rate which is insane will statistically fail 4% of his runs. That's a massive number in probability and it's an insanely generous offer to begin with when in reality the best decks of the meta are prone to bricking.Me having gotten all the sleeves doesn't change the logic. I'm not myopic enough to think I'm better than pros because of this. I don't even think WB is some skillless game, I think it's very skill intensive. The issue is that skill is proven by consistent performance. GP doesn't reward consistency at all, the mode is wildly weighted around luck compared to climbing ladder or playing chest events. Even the weekend tournament gives you more opportunities to skill difference opponents despite being a similar format. You can win 6 games in a row playing GP and fail to qualify if the distribution is bad.

Dragon buff is better than it looks. In the early game she can sequence with your inevitably large amount of 2pp followers. What's with stupid is that if you already ramped off oracle, you'll be at 6pp on turn 5. This means that if you have two Liu Fengs in have one will cause the other to evolve in overflow and you'll be at 9pp later. In the late game she sequences beside some important followers. Neptune and Galmieux.The problem though is that this doesn't help the weak dragon game state at all. It just makes the dragon high rolls a lot stronger. The deck will still suck shit most of the time but it'll feel absolutely ridiculous when it high rolls now.

Putting aside how shit the puppet buffs are for fixing their problems, let's discuss the other dumbass shit about it. Zwei can swing board now and puppets have a relevant 1 drop. This means every deck that already loses to puppet board control into double Orchis loses to it way harder. If you can't answer Zwei with a targeted effect, she's behind two wards and gets 5 damage in putting you into double Orchis lethal alone. Puppet will still remain bad now because it can't deal with Rune or Haven, but in a set or 2 before Orchis rotates out, it will probably be meta cancer at some point.

Liam costing 9pp now curves nicely after Orchis. The puppet cat having rush is huge. Liu Feng now can work with 1pp spells like Strike of the Dragonewt, Ferocious Flame, or can be slotted in later turns with herself/merman/orca boy/etc. (funny t6 double LFs into 9pp next turn). Pretty good changes, we'll see how it shakes up the meta. I'm just worried the dragon highrolls will make people mad when losing, though it's true for ramp decks anw
