I like what they did with the personality system and how it compells the player to engage with their digimon, and also how it affects the stat growth which in turn somewhat defines the digimons evolution path.Only one problem - load enhancement is so efficient, it would probably be easier to brute force feed your digimon stats to meet requirements rather than having to engage with the former game mechanics as was intended.

In the first place there will still be a handful of Digimon that are optimal because they have the best resistance spreads and personal skill. Worries about them not being unique enough are fucking stupid. The set up just means you won't be massively penalized by an end game that demands a certain power level or die. Chances are that the average run won't give you time to max out a full party anyways so Digimon will be distinguished for the vast majority of your playtime by having different growths. The issues people have are nonsense. We should be hoping if anything that there's no personal skill so valuable to be a must have.
