I enjoyed the collab, following Mayors felt pretty engaging for what is essentially a collab tag in story for the sake of it, but it still annoys the fuck out of me to have so much put into it and then the story just goes away so newbabs won't have those snippets unless they look it up. Man this was actually one of the better depictions of a distortion happening so far because of the amount of curveballs it took. Carmen tried really hard to convince Mayors because Mayors actually admitted her fears early on when Carmen called her out on them.It wasn't like most other cases that are built upon one core issue that is accepted or denied, rather she first went through Mayors fears of becoming a seaborn, then to her desire of salvation, then her quips with how hard the path is and she repeatedly failed because while Mayors did excuse her fears she also admitted them. She only got her by convincing her going with a faster path ''to save people'' would be right which is directly opposed to how Mayors had been carrying it and trying to make people convert but also the argument she used against the Doctor.In doing so we can actually see Mayors contradicted what she said previously and followed through by claiming it's for greater good. She was really really close to awakening an EGO here. I don't think Carmen would have any other argument left because she legit tried everything.
