I don't have anything against links but I'm really enjoying a format without them, because you're forced to have alternative ways/a cleaner game plan to remove your chaff from the field to make space for endboard pieces. This also means that said chaff now has a real opportunity cost attached to it. You played dugares to draw/extend? You're going to have to take into account that you can't convert the leftover body to useful resources unless you chorozo/F0/mutiny it away, which is not as free as just making sp with it, be it because of point costs or deckbuilding requirements

Links and Pendulum shouldn't have been new Summoning mechanics, but merely printed effects on certain cards. That's the kind of creativity I wish Konami had. Cards from the Extra deck that can be summoned by having certain monster on the field, and of course, there would be waaay less of them.Just make the purple, black or white cards, regardless of requiring only 1 material to be summoned.
