Falcom will use Sky the first to see what they are missing and what they need to put the series in the right direction but the problem is even if they do this they will still put grim garten in Kai 2 and kill the pacing yet again. They don’t understand the problem but because they already have the grim garten code from reverie, they won’t want to waste it. Instead of having flashbacks throughout the story they save it for memento orbs instead which is a lazier way to tell a story

They feel the need to “be better” than the falcom script. They overdo it

I think it’s a matter of perspective. Maybe 5 years ago I would have criticized gungho for their localization. But after playing through bad localizations like hundred heroes, hundred line, daybreak 1 and 2 where localizers just input their own stuff that never existed. It kinda made me appreciate localizations like gungho for Sky the first more. Like someone actually setting aside their ego and respecting the original author. It’s not ideal but it’s nice to play a falcom game instead of a NISA game

I'll always take something that flows well over something like First's script. In a text heavy game like Kiseki the flow is essential for a better experience because the last thing you want in 40 minute cutscenes is to get bored 5 minutes in.

If you play with jp voice you will like gungho localization for Sky 1 if you don’t then you will dislike it. Daybreak 2 is terrible to play with jp voice because the changes are so noticeable. Feri says completely different dialogue than what her localized texts suggest when you put jp voice
