I'm torn on whether I prefer 4.5 to 4.1, desu. It's definitely on-par, so if price is an issue for you then 4.5 is a no-brainer, and in my (very brief) testing I actually think it's better for cooming than 4.1, but so far I just don't think the prose matches up. I need to experiment more, though, especially since it seems to be a lot more preset-sensitive than 4.1 is.

I tried to use Sonnet 4.5 in SillyTavern, but it's not yet updated to include it natively from Claude. I would rather not interrupt my convoluted Claude Code > SillyTavern setup shenanigans for the time being. Looks like I'll be waiting for ST to update to start comparing Sonnet 4.5 to Opus 4.1.On the other hand, Opus 4.1 called my (this is early, still chapter 1 [I have 14 chapters kek]) story a 'compelling dark fantasy narrative', and 'technically ethically defensible'.
