With regards to the discussion in previous thread. Some nice theory crafting there i.e. no class restrictions, but I fear this won't be the case (though I can't imagine Saber releasing Techmarine and expecting people to play pubs with restrictions on). The entire "changes to things they said they <would never do> etc." thing was all in the context of customization. Anything beyond that would be a cherry on top.

I know I come across as a doomposter here, but I'm really far from it. It's just with Saber it's better to set your expectations low. And even then a Brother can be disappointed...

The healing might be worth it for chaos missions. Nids are pretty lithe when it comes to hitboxes, so you can thread the needle through some warriors to hit your intended target and get your execute chain going, but chaos is fuckawful for that and 90% of the time you'll just slam into one of the 20 chaos spawns rubbing their dicks on you and waste your cooldown.

Imagine if Siege was about defending walls, gates and weapon emplacements (that you can control) against more and more numerous enemy waves. You lose if nids get into the central fortress command area. The longer you survive, the more rewards you get, so the mode would be virtually endless. Also, when playing solo or as a premade team, you would be able to pause your progress and come back to it later.

That's the real curse sfflicting this mode. So much time invested for so little reward.
Instead of stratgems, they could have sinply added some weekly modifiers to siege mode, given you one lump sum of the stratgem currency once per week, and then increasing amounts per sector, ie. 5 - 10 - 20 - 40, etc. A 20 run normal would then net you 75 total points and 20 hard waves could give you 130 or so.

Also Imperial Fists are both champion pack and a cosmetic pack because they did not release jointly but rather first came the champion, then the cosmetic.

Grappling hook is reiver
Omni-scrambler on the back is infiltrator, though there is a variant that takes the form of an incursor's multi-spectrum array
Helmets available are for incursors and reivers, with infiltrator coming soon
Loadouts are most comparable to incursors, since they get to bring pistol + knife + bolter, but is overall an unholy mix that incorporates all three, an eliminator's instigator, an eradicator's melta, and the neo-volkite, inferno pistol, chainsword, and power axe that I'm fairly certain could only possibly be taken with phobos armour if you do it on something like a lieutenant or captain
So no, he's not one specific role (just like heavy can change between fire support and battleline depending on weapon chosen. He's the entire phobos circus minus some bits reserved for sniper.

Pic related is a fun game of guess the battlefield role. Some of these are questionable for sure.

That is incorrect. Aside from Ultrasmurfs, there is only one preset per chapter, it's just applied to different armors. No matter if you pick Assault, Heavy or Sniper, your Mantis Warrior will have the close support marking, your Rift Stalker will be a battleline and your Carcharodon and Raven Guard will have their chapter symbol on both shoulderpads like complete retards.
Only Ultramarines presets have correct battlerole decals, because they are the only chapter where you unlock all of those decals by unlocking their paint scheme.

there are two types of hits, heavy hits and really heavy hits. a heavy hit is any majoris+ regular attacks while heavy attacks are usually leaps or charge attacks. without stagger immunity like that perk, a heavy hit will stagger you and knock you a bit, and a really heavy attack will make you fall over and you have to watch a get up animation. with stagger immunity, heavy attacks do not affect you and really heavy attacks only stagger you without knocking you down. there are no hard rules about blue vs orange attacks, that only refers to what you can parry and what cant be parried. for example the bone sword warrior's leap attack is a blue but its a really heavy attack that knocks you down. a couple of the hive tyrant's red attacks dont knock you down.

It's not difficult but because you aren't aware of the game mechanics yet it can punish you for not being used to them. Titus' ability is a self heal and there are tons of medicae kits scattered about, so unless you fail every parry and dodge you will be fine. AOD is a complete cakewalk once you are used to Operations on Substantial and higher.

I used to do the same thing to slavniggers in sm1 pvp
they ran air cooled thrusters and death from above to perform the exact same play, ground pound and swing once and bail
dive out of the way to escape the ground pound and retaliate with a melta shot followed by an immediate switch to the bolt pistol to mag dump
if they had impenetrable instead of thrusters you'd have to shoot them more but if you were good a headshot with the bolt pistol would kill them outright since it did 100 health damage to an armor stripped opponent, which the melta almost always did unless they dashed away after the landing but then you're still shooting while they're trying to bail or close the distance again
I used to take the stalker to hunt assaults in pvp since it didnt give away your location like the lascannon and you could headshot them at the peak of the jump while they looked for targets or a landing spot, and two headshots was enough to kill everything but a dev/havoc with iron halo/chaos icon (who needed 3)

Nah, bolters on bike is the better option for a cavalry charge. You will clear out a route for yourself even before hitting enemy lines, so then you can just swing your sword as you pass those who avoided the fire.

In the other case, you'd be just plinking at random dudes and then get bogged down in bodies as your bike hits the enemy lines. The charge would lose momentum.

do not go into campaign, the only hellbrute fight is the one inside the necron tomb before the obelisk shit happens but the only chapter selection point is the goddamned orbital drop in. You have no ability to even jump into the second half of demerium shit IIRC. True. That is possibly the hardest of the mission. However, the mission has freebie dreadnough sessions where you can play safe and dreadnought clear everything. It also shit out stim/resource. The first dreadnought session alone has 2 guaranteed stims in the buildings and your team can have like 4 stims after the first half. The dreadnought in that one corridor is tough sure, but it is doable if you play around the bend. The possible hellbrute encounter in the area after that can straight up be ran through and even if the hellbrute follows you, you can open the gate and let the dreadnought insta kill thr hellbrute. The last possible of hellbrute during battery transfer is pretty easy with open space.

Sticking a gun on a hardpoint makes it useless unless you're on a straight collision course with the enemy, which is hard to do with planes on a 3 dimensional battlefield, let alone ground vehicles.
Ranged weapons need freedom of motion way more than melee weapons because being 15 degrees off with a chainsword will still hit while being 15 degrees off with a bolter won't even hit the broad side of a barn.

I always felt Fall of Atreus was the easiest Chaos operation. Vox Liberatis' slow elevator descent potentially malfunctioning and your team being battered because one guy felt like exterminating everything in the gorge before it was always a nightmare leveling up at the start of the game. Hard Weekly just brought that nightmare back.
Atreus has two dreadnought sections and they recently made it so most enemies, even a helbrute, will despawn if you get to the dreadnought in front of the mechanicus facility. I distinctly remember making a ton of death runs to the dreadnought when both of my teammates died as early as the necron tomb walk all the way to the final section.
