But some general thoughts I have on some specific points.>40 vs 60The deck has a decent number of garnets, Genni and Crowley but also Azamina Elzette if you're running a slimmer WF package like the 40 card list. But the main advantage of Magistus/Witchcrafter is being able to run 3 Verre Magic as an anti-handtrap card. So while you could just run more WF starters and go to 60, you innately move away from what makes Magistus/Witchcrafter good. I will say it's really hard to get a proper non-engine count at 40.>Diabell vs Borreload for the Synchro 8I actually don't like Diabell here as its main purpose is an universal spell search by pitching something with Lacrima and adding it back with Diabell. The issue is 6 of your one card starters (Spenta add Rilliona or Rilliona) have to use that effect of Lacrima to send Genni. So Diabell only works better if you open WF starter + a discard + Verre Magic and also don't get interrupted on your WF combo at which point you win playing standard WF lines anyways.>Haine and Verre, high level WC maindeck cardsYou should probably only run one, and Verre has more use due to being searchable by Rciela if you need a WC name to fuse with. Setting up both isn't normally possible off 1 card. You can do some funny stuff by protecting floodgate Zoroa with Haine but it's less consistent.>Azamina Elzette search targetThis ties into the synchro choice, but one neat thing you can do is search Witchcrafter Verre off Rciela and then synchro off Elzette to search for Sinful Spoils of the White Forest to let you fuse Vice Madame. The alternative is to put an Azamina engine in, but this is really tight on deck space and the 40 card list which does this runs only 5 non-engine. Including skipping on Maxx C and Ash. So I don't really like the Azamina package and being able to actually semi-reliably end on Vice Madame is nice.
