I played Ascension back in the early wildcard seasons and had a good time, I recently started Turtle and I like what they've done. I wanted to play on a vanilla client and Turtle does it for me, I don't mind the custom stuff and everything runs smooth, and it keeps some of the vanilla essence. I think Ascension is just too much, when I play I feel like that essence is gone, but it's a good option for a modernized and fun experience.

I think the way Turtle is designed it attracts a diverse crowd of people, a lot of freaks but mostly normies, which makes the usual environment friendly and casual. On servers like Ascension it attracts not only the tourists, but also a lot of toxic degenerates and the ilks I hate the most: third worlders and people who don't/refuse to speak English.
