I was playing Mech warrior when I suddenly realized that I am playing a single player game where my objective is racing him down to 0 health before he does the same to me. As long as I play decently on curve and draw my pieces it does not matter what I do with the opponent's board. I also noticed that the game is filled with these scam decks.

You are probably playing the deck wrong if you are caring about bricking your solarium, though, just as an example. You play the bitch on 4 so you can rip the temp copy for a +1 completion on your Quest, and then on 5 you can play the real one and that's almost always Quest completion and should normally be getting it down if you hit a 1 drop and anything playable in the first 3 turns. Against any sort of control matchup, you should be keeping them on the backfoot by simply building boards and requiring them to keep clearing. If they're full health when you get the portal down, you're probably going to lose, but they should be getting threatened with lethal pretty much every turn after you get it down and can start spending mana on burn and removal via Corpsesicles, Horizon's Edge, and even Hellfire + Edge or other ways of killing your own minions for lethal. If you want to see what the deck being played looks like, just go watch the last MT, it was a very popular bring and got played into a lot of Control DK because it was the most popular deck.

Meanwhile if you're not doing a retarded meme combo, the best you're getting is 4 mana deal 8 with Lifesteal from Void Shard or 1 mana deal 8 to both of you with Acupuncture, which is not nearly enough burn to deal any significant amount of damage to any sort of control deck which will easily be pushing 70 HP at a minimum.
