Even when the shitgis DLC got announced for p3r Wada admitted that they basically had no other time to announce or release it, and we got to see why they were confident about that in their FY2025 report because after starting off at 1 million the first week, it only moved 200k copies from February to April (which is right in the window the expansion was announced), and sales from April to April with the DLC release happening were under 900k. The timing of the super awkward VV free update matches up well with its FY2025 sales too which after starting at ~500k moved ~460k copies from June to April because that happened in November right around the holiday. Raidou got an advertised update patch + TGS merch because the long term sales flatlined. Metaphor had their best 6 months of sales literally of all time kicking off at 1 million in October and then moving another 1 million from October to April. Here we are now 6 months after that.
