Story is so-so; small town has a secret that kind of story, it moves along. It has the coziest setting though smaller in scope. The most likable roster in the entire games. Alex''s powers aren't fully realized and it may leave you disappointed since she's had it for years yet it's bare bones. Wavelengths is worth playing once I'd say. DE, you either like or you don't. It had potential but flounders really early. It has unaddressed plot threads that are either forgotten or obviously set-ups for a future game/story which is frustrating because some of them really have potential; same goes for the characters and Max's powers in this one. I'd say play it for Max if you really like her or if you want to play The Room's LiS equivalent. Very cozy setting though again, wasted potential. Don't let the schizos here stop you from playing it.

By LiS2, they had a significant budget increase and that lead them to actually make a sequel game who improved on the choice and consequences dynamic, with four endings and other smaller variations, but it suffers a lot for being overly ambitious trying at all cost to not be like Life is Strange.D9 are an american developer, and they are a mixed bag. Before the Storm is an attempt at a prequel which has some great moment with Chloe as the main protagonist, Rachel and the soundtrack but falls apart by the final episode and suffers from a lot of narrative inconsistencies to the first game, and none of your choices really have final consequences. The only content that's solid within that game is the Farewell bonus episode desuTC is fine, they have an original cast and arguably a cozy setting but deep down is a safe to mid rehash of the first game. Alex Chen is cool, but her power is lame and none of the choice or consequences have an impact as deep as LiS2. You might find some enjoyment tho but I would reconmend it on discount price than full.DE is plain awful because it carries over all the same issues that D9 had in both BtS and TC, except this time is a story that's an unecessary sequel/rehash/reboot with Max as the MC again. I can't really reconmend it as the few positives it has like some of the ost or mocap is tampered by a large amount of idiotic decisions by SE and D9

Kinda crazy how that Dispatch game from Adhoc (studio filled with ex Telltale devs) looks like it’s going to do better than both Lost Records and DE despite being from a largely unknown studio.
