So why exactly did Siege treat Clovisia's offer like a poison pill when Clovisia granted the Self Salvation Corps wish to resist with no strings attached? Is it Clovisia's fault that the Aslan wanted to get rid of the Draco, or that the Dukes want to dispose of the King? Clovisia is really only as bad as the person she is granting the wish for is and if there's a fuckup where she grants something a person doesn't want due to a lack of understanding (granting Nowell immortality) she's perfectly fine with undoing the wish with no added stipulations.

Compared to some of my previous reads the whole cast was likeable or interesting in some way. And it was a continous narration without jumping through timelines and protagonists. Some bonus points for that.Mostima remains one of my favorite angels with her carefree attitude and cracking jokes in the middle of serious conversations.Enforcer and Cecelia were a wholesome and somewhat naive pair with the former seeing some characer development.Then Fia... at the very beginning she felt a tad too gruff, but I warmed up to her as more and more of their group's backstory was revealed. She's the most emotional of the bunch and those moments shined the brightest. Also chicken breast!The antagonist side was also filled nicely with Patia and her disdain for sankta, Andoain and his lofty goals and the opportunistic Oren.Only Federico was... kinda there, doing his thing. Ehh, whatever.Now the the minor complaints are about some missing pieces. What happend that day Lemuen was attacked and why? How exactly does Andoain want to reshape Laterano and what did the pope show him under the basilica? And lastly they dropped Arturia's name without much of an explanation. All cliffhangers for the next series of events, I'm sure. At least with Arturia, who probably has a full story dedicated to her.So yeah, excluding the main chpters, I think this is the best event I read so far, followed closely by Under Tides.

Exu2's resurrection ability looks amazing. She can even bring back coffin'd and boat'd operators in IS5.
