Sonic X Shadow Generations or Sonic Superstars? (Nintendo Switch versions)Already played the original Generations to death but I'm sure I'd still have fun with the Shadow version. Superstars is a bit ugly on Switch but the performance looks good (60 fps is nice), plus there's no silly depth-of-field blur effect on the backgrounds like on PlayStation. Switch is my last console, so I want a Physical Sonic game as a collector item while I can get one, especially now with older stuff going on sale while Switch 2 takes over. Otherwise I'd get it on pc. Honestly it's a bit painful because the pc version looks so much prettier, plus you can turn off that stupid depth-of-field effect and see the detailed backgrounds.

What do you think things would have been like if Scott hadn't been convinced by Penders to sue like he did to kill reboot Archie? I honestly hear conflicting stories about how that all went down like Scott only sued because Archie were antagonizing him and others saying Penders was constantly telling other staffers to sue Archie in hopes that if enough people joined with him Archie would have to pay up and he could use that as leverage to sue Sega for ownership of Knuckles.The last story is that Penders victory was a fluke and Archie would have won the case on appeal and wouldn't of had to change anything, they just panicked because Sega was demanding a swift end or they pull the licenseThen there's other stuff like Archie wanted to stop printing comics for other IPs in general and focus more on their own stuff and thought they had a chance because of how well the Archie TV show was doing at the time, some thought it would become another Supernatural of Smallville in levels of popularity and profits but I think it ended up flopping and dying pretty quickly after it's first season

>>541533613Just like any other sonic fan, there's a reason people wanted those hasbeens like Vanilla, Gemerl, Eggman Nega, Ariem, Marine, Abe, Chaos, Tikal even classic characters to be in ,it's a chance to have characters interact when they most likely never would without having to write some shitty memberberries cringe inducing story to justify their appearences which is exactly why Dodonpa was created in the first place and even better Dodonpa's presence in the game is kept to a minimum you'll only see him a handful of times in the main menu before you unlock everything and only hear hear his one line "It's frenzy time" once in a blue moon, a perfect way to use a character nobody liked yet is neccessry to create the scenario you need these characters people actually do like to interact with a stupid story to put them there, it's genius really, nobody like Orbot and Cubot either but their presence is still here as well watching the end credits and being in the online menu this is how sega should be using their casts going forward meaning we need more spin off titles for Sonic through Sonic's cast is acceptable to race but fighting each other would be an issue, playing other sports would be an issue and RPGs are a big no no since Chronicles fucked everything up, Sega isn't courageous enough nor is the fanbase open enough for that to be explored especially when people hated Sonic's combat in Frontiers

That example someone used last thread about Antoine in Archie is inherently a bad example, though. Because Archie Antoine isn't just different from SatAM Antoine. The whole thing about Archie Antoine, both pre and post SGW, is that he started out cowardly and stuff but went through extreme character development. Heroes Amy is the peak of Amy's characterization, but it's exactly what Ian hates most of all. Anyone who hates Amy always hate that game most of all. But Sonic Heroes was my first real Sonic game alongside Sonic Mega Collection Plus and watching Sonic X. My first impression of Amy was both Heroes and X. And sure, I criticize X!Amy in particular nowadays, but I had NO problem with it as a kid. My impression of Amy based on those sources was simply that she was a pink girl who embodied the "Love" and "Heart" tropes. That was it. The problem with IDW not having humans isn't really a quality issue, it's a synergy issue. It's a leftover from Sonic Forces trying to appeal to old westfags. The problem is that Sonic Forces is literally the only Sonic entry like this, even Archie and Satam had humans existing as part of their lore. It makes IDW stick out like a sore thumb. It resembles a Sonic fanfic more than any Sonic game. This isn't the same as being "bad" but it's very much like if a pokemon comic had no humans. You would have to assume something is up. The only people this appeals to are people who still think there was something wrong with human background characters in the games. The manga and the movies make this look even weirder than it would already. It's hard to tell if Sega enforces the comic to resemble Sonic Forces or if the staff at IDW have nostalgic attachment to the concept of "mobius" being this furry toontown utopia.

Tangle and Surge will obviously get into Crossworlds because SEGA wants to use Crossworlds (and other side games) as a way to gauge interest in certain characters.
