Add some complementary jewelry and he slaps hard. I used the "inflicting condition gives 2 rounds of Arcane Energy" diadem, the "Ranged Spell Attack adds +2 Reverbation" amulet, the Advantage on Attack Rolls ring as key elements. He basically solo'd Malus by himself with this gear, but I'm about to do a review and see if he any of our new-found items can elevate him further.
