Increased incantations and sorcery go to Recluse and Revenant, along with reduced fp usage and increased FP. If someone is used an ash of war a lot increased skill damage and reduced skill fp cost are useful for them. Everyone wants at least one max hp damage negation. Charged attacks create magma, black flame, summon a skeleton, etc. are all huge. Precision shots summon bloodflies, rotflies, and lightning bolt are huge for Ironeye. Most of the "attacks cause x" aren't consistent so they aren't as important. If you see an item you think would be good for your teammate, so long as it's purple+ and neither of your other options are good, just press square and then ping it (square drops the item without you having to put it in your inventory first). Any purple item (within reason) is better than a white or blue most of the time.Jellyfish shield is better suited for Wylder or Raider, though I see people get it but never use it. If you find a decent great shield and have a recluse on your team go ahead and see if they'll take it. Great shields on Recluse are pretty nice to have.probably missed some important bits but w/e here's skorvan getting rat'd

The playstyle is selfish in its concept and playing it inflexibily against every enemy in the game is juvenile. Choosing to play Gbow isn't a skill issue, its flaws aren't because you're having a bad day. You cannot clutch or carry the team and yet you rely on them since you can't solo anything that doesn't get knocked down. You're a parasite to teams.
