Your weapon has way too much of your power potential early game. If you get unlucky and can't manage to get a decent weapon on your league starter, it's an absolute slog and you start getting filtered towards the end of act 2. I got lucky on my second character and got a good weapon drop five minutes in, and I'm zooming through the campaign literally three times as fast as my first character.
