Amy Rose is not a joke character. She was created as a legitimate love interest for Sonic the Hedgehog, the ideal girlfriend figure for him. Amy Rose is not an anchor to Sonic, either. She does not want to tie him down or force him into marriage or anything like that. Amy is Girl Sonic, she shares Sonic's love of adventure and blood-boiling thrill. She loves excitement, she hates boredom. As any energetic girl would. The contrast between Sonic & Amy is her passion versus Sonic's coolness. That's why their dynamic is the way that it is. Just to show you guys that I do work on my project and someone mentioned the other that I should show something or whatever, here are character designs I've worked on lately, for characters outside of my general core cast. Technically, these guys (of which there are only three characters shown here) are supposed to represent the Babylon Rogues, but there's a lot of different ideas here as well, since one of them is meant to be like Riku from Kingdom Hearts, another is meant to be like Undyne from Undertale, and the other is... I guess you can just think of The Hulk more or less... One thing Kingdom Hearts does that I enjoy is that it often gives the characters a wide array of clothes. Something that might be an issue when it comes to recognizing each character individually is the persistent prevalence of shorts. You should consider giving one of the two boys with clean shorts pants. Or contrast them better by having them be different styles of shorts.The colors also aren't necessarily the best since it can come across as a bit garish. Kingdom Hearts tends to have more coherent color schemes for its clothing designs OR create deliberate color contrast. These just feel like you had a color palette and then plastered it all over. Giving each individual character their own sense of color might help them stand out. Unless the goal is to make them come across as indistinct from one another, in which case, fair enough.I do enjoy the ideas behind them from a visual perspective though. They feel very very creative and fun. It feels whimsical, childlike, fantasy esque. You capture the Nomura design in that regard. I can see the Undyne inspiration and I like it!
