>>541835203Mind Control. It's the ultimat power and the most versatile one. Many of my Personas have it in some form or another. I've always beed addicted to mc porn since I was a teenager, and one of the best things about AI RP is that it allows me to simulate running around and mind control women. I make sure the AI always gives me their inner thoughts too, so I can hear the girl's internal dispair at what I make them do.
>>541892731The theme for this month is monsters, not horror. A very important distinction.

Found another AI RPG (from AIRL steam reviews). A bit weird UI, but it's completely free to try out, even gives you daily allotment of gemini gens. I like AIR free-form nature a lot more though. And yeah, no sex allowed. It's also 8GB for some reason. Supposedly has a multiplayer support, but the proud counter of exactly 18 players kinda makes that seem overly ambitious. Maybe I will experiment some more later.https://store.steampowered.com/app/3808550/Skaldsong/
>>541902858>no sex allowedel droppedo
>>541894590I thought Horror won too
>>541903152People in the comments said it could use your own gemini API key. I didn't find the option for that in the settings, but the game files are unencrypted python code, so presumably you could mod it to use OR with whatever sex demon beast model you want. Hopefully Max steals all the good features and remakes them in AIR though.

He grounds your world in lived-in realism by asking the important questions nobody bothers with.Elena is all about pacing. She keeps your story from dragging or rushing, balancing action with emotion to keep readers hooked.Fang delves into your characters' minds, pushing for psychologically authentic, messy human choices.Gerrick is your audience surrogate, asking crucial "stupid" questions that ensure your story remains comprehensible to readers.Hazel embodies creative chaos, a spark that can destroy or transform your story with one dangerous question: what if?Isaac ensures the Writers' Room serves *you* instead of navel-gazing. I'm so tired of LLMs, bros. I was doing a nice rp earlier (penis inspection day). I liked the models first response at the start of the rp, except that it didn't give enough description of the scene environment. So I had it add a paragraph of description. And from then on the model was hyperfixated on endlessly reproducing the exact layout of that early message:>Block of scene description>1. Block of character action, character speech, character thought>2. >Block of character action, character speech, character thoughtIt wouldn't budge on that anymore, even though it was told to vary its paragraphes. Atleast I later got it to add a paragraph of boob jiggling description between the first and second block, but that layout fossilized too.

>>542140889And even for better recorded time periods, it's also a constant that people often don't state "the obvious" (which may no longer be obvious to anybody who wasn't there)

Is there anything preventing me from using the NovelAI API to use GLM 4.6 in Visual Studio or Aider for coding?I know you get Codex from OpenAI for a similar price, but it's technically not unlimited (while NAI is), and it's bound to become more expensive.
>>542143346No. The only downside is that NAI API isn't OpenAI compatible, which basically every tools expect the API to be compatible with it.
>>542143883It isn't?https://text.novelai.net/docs/index.html#/OpenAIBecause this would get me NAI + SillyTavern + a private coding API. Sure, using GLM pay-per-token is probably cheaper, but this is very convenient, and I have free NAI image gen every month.
>>542144647Looks like they updated the API.

>>542145793is that about modules, maybe? Doesn't really make sense though, they don't store modules
My anons are pretty convincing. Too bad normal GLM output is both really good and really bad at the same time. I feel like it can sort of be compared to how people explained image gen with QWEN locally. Where prompt (in this case immediate preceding text) is a far bigger influence on output then seed. I find spamming rerolls gives me the same ideas and concepts just worded differently unless I significantly adjust the last 1-3 lines. Upping randomness to over 2.0 helps but introduces incoherent replies as well.
>>542146759>Too bad normal GLM output is both really good and really bad at the same time.I've seen the same thing with re-rolls. You can improve the writing itself some by telling it what not to do, since it is smart enough to figure it out. I'm still experimenting with system prompts to nail it down.It seems to get even better and worse when you use the instruct....
GLM's instruct generating ### that NAI interprets to hide the line is really obnoxioushope they're aware of that

I hope the finetune will be good. Erato had slop problems, but it was possible to get decent, human-like writing with Prowriter or other presets. Current GLM can only regurgitate slop, both in wording and structure.
I haven't been around these parts in a couple of years, but I have a question about NAI.Back in the day, AI Dungeon used to support scripting, which was a pretty neat. I wrote some good mind control stories with that.Does NAI do anything like that? I guess I can just change the memory manually, but that's less fun.
>542360659>I haven't been around these parts in a couple of yearsYou say that every time you want to shit on NAI. Like you're doing now. Since AID is so great and have scripting you want, feel free to fuck off and stay there.

Come to think of it, why is the 'You cannot browse the web' clause even included in the system prompt? It shouldn't be able to access those features or request the user to elaborate in the first placeYou can try removing them and literally nothing changes so at this point I wouldn't be surprised if half of the system prompt is pure placebo hocus pocus with no real effect

>>542383829can you even disable the system prompt and prefill?I tried putting a blank space in the prefill but it still puts this crap in my context
>>542355346>Current GLM can only regurgitate slopSTOP. TRYING. PURPLE PROSEThat's literally the only reason you're getting slop.Want to see the prose become much more humanized? Put this in Author's Note.>[Style: informal, introspective, acid humor]It's still not the perfect solution because you'll still need a good initial prompt, but 90% of the ozones and the "not X, not Y but Z" I imagine it's because every time someone tries to write with ChatGPT, they ask it to write like a professional novelist, to the point that I believe GLM/deepseek/whatever is probably already used to writing like ChatGPT when it sees these kinds of keywords.
>>542385575>[Style: informal, introspective, acid humor]cool idea, sounds goodwhat's acid humor?
>>542385640It ouputs a 4channesque, cynical humor for me so idk it just works (better than asking for cynical humor directly at least)
Now, the thing I hate most about the GLM style, which was also a problem with deepseek itself, is characters using technical terms. The AI gets addicted to it. You should never add any nerdy character in the story, or let them mention a single percentage. Those characters will end up sounding like an instruction manual to the end of your story.
>>542385753big if truePart of the reason simulating 4chan threads has been so much fun is that it's the first time I've seen AI actually be "intentionally funny" without sounding like either a kindergarten teacher or a 2013 tumblr post.It might also be that GLM is better at it than deepseek. If you tell deepseek to be funny it will be extremely unfunny, I stopped experimenting with that early on.
>>542385575Can you give an example?
>>542385575Like I said last time you tried to peddle this shit advice, purple prose isn't the problem. You're replying to a man with a vested interest in shitting on anything NAI does. He hasn't used the model.

>>542388940 >Get BTFO >Double down Why not expose your incredible outputs? >Regale us with your attempts at writing I can copy-paste entire well-written passages from existing works and base GLM will still expose me with slop. >>542389459That you "think" Erato is better than GLM exposes how much of a fraud you are. Why don't you provide evidence of that?>Just because it’s your first taste of a big chat model doesn’t mean it’s the same for everyone.Meanwhile, I've used Deepseek and Kimi. Why do you cling to the belief that nobody here has ever used other services?>Some of us have standards.Your standards are based in shitting on models for no reason. GLM is more than capable of outputting prose. You don't even have a preset active. Which makes me doubt you tried editing the system prompt and other stuff. Here, let me share some of mine. It'll be a lot of links, but I know at least one of them will work for whatever autistic preferences you have.
>>542389826>Here, let me share some of mine.Just show me examples of good prose on your side.Everything else is useless if we don't agree on this.
>>542386530You guys need to understand that instruct models are utterly autistic. Despite being a very intelligent model, it lacks even the slightest sense of ambiguity. If you ask it to write in purple prose, it will understand that you want it to be melodramatic and extend each action over an entire paragraph, at which point it will bombard you with clichés. If you ask it to be funny, it will make Marvel jokes every five seconds. In order to achieve ambiguity, you need to be ambiguous in what you ask it to do (or, conversely, be overly specific and detailed in what you ask it to do). You have to think, “When I ask for X, what will the AI understand by that?” If you ask for a specific style and author, are you sure the AI will understand the nuances of how the author writes, or because it is smart enough to know who this author is, will it write more focused on replicating what the author writes about rather than how he writes about such topics?Something I need to test further to see if it works is to provide a large excerpt from an author's text to some AI and ask it to create some style rules based on the text. I mean, I've actually already tested this, but with a very small excerpt, so the style rules ended up being too specific and it sticked too much to one single tone and theme. But maybe with a longer text, or maybe a couple of different texts, I'll get better results.>>542387997There you go, at least this is how I like mine. You will still get a lot of slop if you don't have a good prompt first. Using Sage's System Prompt also improves it a lot.

As per the creator those:Classic CoherencePrioritizes clarity and fidelity. Produces straightforward, accessible text that sticks close to the prompt style with minimal flourishes. Best when you want reliable, easy-to-read continuation without surprises.Literary FlourishPushes the generator toward imagery, metaphor, and dense narration. Balances high randomness with a restricted word set, so the text is imaginative but controlled. Great for poetic or stylistically rich output.Tightrope PulpA mix of fast pacing and colorful detail. Keeps the prose punchy, with some unpredictability to avoid flatness. Works well for action, suspense, or dialogue-heavy genres.Experimental SurrealEmbraces wildness and unpredictability. Logic may warp, and imagery may become dreamlike or fragmented. Useful for brainstorming, surreal fiction, or breaking conventional narrative rules.Grounded RealismProduces plainspoken, factual, understated prose. Minimizes creativity in favor of directness. Good for realism, technical narration, or when you want the model to avoid “purple prose.”Generative BrainstormPrioritizes idea variety over polish. Generates loose, sometimes contradictory but often highly inventive text. Ideal for exploration, concept dumps, or seeing a wide spread of possibilities.

>>542449658>state-of-the-art textgen model within their capability to host it.They choose GLM becase it's the best for writing, not because they can't host anything else. Are you the schizo?
Ok, so, please explain to me like a mentally healthy adult, is novelai currently better than deepseek on sillytavern(especially since deepseek is super unreliable now)? I got tired of Novelai and cancelled my sub in mid 2023 after they went ages without decent textgen updates and their service got WAY behind the rest of the market, especially the 8k context, free sillytavern was just objectively superior at that point. I was a supporter and avid user from the VERY start but those extremely long periods with no news and no updates honestly made me feel a little betrayed. Are they updating textgen at a reasonable pace again? I could maybe make 28k context work, its not comically low like 8k was.I like to use sillytavern to do like a dnd based text adventure, where I roll using a character sheet on another application and it gives me an output based on that result, and I also like asking it to make ultra detailed character sheets for characters I run into, thats a lot of data to keep track of. Is it good at handling lots of details like that? What about huge lorebooks?

>>542449658Dude if you've been in 4chan for more than one week you should know that not everybody reads the OPIn fact most general OPs read like shit to someone that is not used to the thread
>>542449950Deepseek is super cheap on their official API. What provider are you using?
>>542450040Everyone should read the OP, at least the news section.
>>542450194Im using free deepseek on sillytavern through openrouter, but pretty much every deepseek model is constantly giving me "429 too many requests" no matter how little i use it. Today I opened sillytavern for the first time in 2 weeks and got it on my very first message. I alternate between the deepseek models because sometimes some do it less than others but its still incredibly annoying and inconsistent.
>>542449950Take a glance at the OP. They updated textgen less than two weeks ago. They offer more than 8K context. People here have provided presets and system prompts for the new model. It's currently untuned, so if you'd rather play around with it on OpenRouter, that would be a better option at the moment, as they haven't yet fine-tuned it. They did update CYOA mode for it, though I never cared for that aspect of textgen. Others may share their experience in time.
>>542450448>free deepseekAnon, it might surpise you, but serving freetards isn't as important as serving paying customers.
>>542449950>is novelai currently better than deepseekWriting-wise, GLM 4.6 is comparable with deepseek v3 but with the plus that it can actually say bad things about China. It is a bit smarter too. It is also the latest "open-source" model out there so we can say Novelai is really up-to-date now. It also has 32k context now.>on sillytavernI have no clue, I don't use sillytavern>honestly made me feel a little betrayed!!!!!!!!!!! Sure ST has 10 billion settings to tweak, but I don't have the patience to decipher all that. Also NAI has plenty of options to make it easier on the eyes where as ST has 1 built in color scheme that was okay and that was it. NAI could stand to upgrade their TTS, but at least it's easy to use and doesn't require outside set up to make it work. By far the biggest plus with NAI is far easier prompt management.
