It's interesting to me how people insist that it was the real gregory and not the mimic that drops the elevator at the end of ruin because the subtitle files don't refer to it as the mimic, but the "cassie" said at the end of the game also aren't internally referred to as the mimic but that's never stopped anyone from insisting it's the mimic and not roxy.

As the FNAF 2 movie draws closer, I grow less and less excited.Especially the casting announcement less than two months away from the release date.I fear it's going to be yet another "Video game movie based on iconic franchise but iconic characters are played by celebrities that don't sound like the original, but have a preestablished fanbase" movie.If it is, it could be normie slop filled with Ian Flynn tier references to the games and fanbase, and make a fazbillion dollars.

I predict that fnaf 2 will make less money at the box office than the first. I think the gross of the first movie came from years of anticipation from both former fans and current fans to see FNaF on the big screen. However I think that nostalgic novelty will diminish as more movies are made thus resulting in less revenue. If we are being honest with ourselves it's not like the first movie was good anyways. 70% of it was like Hutcherson/Mike's drama, and his PTSD dream flashbacks. Worst of all the horror aspects that were present in the game this movie was supposed to be adapting are gone. The surreal feeling of lifeless puppets movie on their own, the hallucinations, the creepy ambient noise and red herring sfx. They are missing from the movie. Maybe it wouldn't translate well to a non-interactive medium like film but it is still missing what made fnaf, fnaf and not Poppy Playtime instead. The movie feels more like it was inspired by the Security Breach/Tales of the Pizzaplex era rather than the original trilogy. It doesn't feel like a proper fnaf 1 adaption anyways. If the fnaf 2 movie turns out to be slop but even mildly more entertaining I am in for it. Because it appears all hopes for a faithful adaption have been lost because the vision for the original trilogy has been lost.
To be honest I always felt like the Toys were unlikeable bar Mangle and the Puppet. To me they always felt like cookie cutter sanitized clones of the classics. It feels like the glossy hard plastic Toy animatronic aesthetic pretty much took over the franchise starting with Sister Location. The Rockstars, Mediocre Melodies, Funtimes, and Glamrocks all are clearly derivatives of the Toy Animatronic designs. On top of that I always found the embossed dome plastic rosy cheeks unappealing, at first when the Toys had it had it it felt like they were like those Nutcracker Toys but when every other animatronic line followed that aesthetic it felt a bit too tiring. IMO the Toys should have leaned more into the Nutcracker aesthetic. Regardless I always feel offput by how bright and light the colors for the Toy animatronics are. They don't really feel as scary. I wouldn't have minded if 2 was just the Withered's the puppet and Mangle
Considering how fnaf as a whole tends to go on a downward trend in terms of sales with each new sequel that's made it's not surprising they hired some a list celebrities in a desperation move in hopes it will draw in more people.Whether it will work is a different story
