You'll run mixed bag of cards focusing on wit so getting enough stamina/speed/power to actually win races is the challenge. You're always on the edge of failing races due to low stats and the RNG for skill hints is infuriating since sometimes the game just refuses to give you debuffs. Basically all good debuff cards also have some skills you don't care about. Your deck will look something like this (kitasan is just there to provide the speed needed to win career).

I still have no idea how you guys get these giant scores. At best my runs start with Umas at F rank stats and I finish with one 600. Is it literally just that I don’t have every card at mlb?

From my (by now I'd say somewhat extensive) experience since swapping the cards I'm getting about 50k more fans a run. Just to make it clear, again, I don't disagree with the fact that Kita and other more useful cards could guarantee some more wins, it's just based on my experience so far the average fan gain is much lower using them. Perhaps, that perception is biased by the game's rng and my personal experience so far. As to not put your genuine advice to waste, allow me to ask what deck would you recommend for a fan run with Daiwa Scarlet with what's available to me?
