You could bait those to somewhere a bit wider and just sidestep them, but that's dependent on... your map seed having actually provided a space like that at all (mine didn't). So instead I just have to pay the MP/SP tax to get to the fountain. I don't mind Detect even failing until I walk right into a mob because I can just run away on the first or second character's turn, what I don't like is being forced into a fight.

Then you take out the few random encounters in the way and use the fountain before entering that last underground section before the necrocore.The next main boss after the necrocore will require you to traverse a whole floor with hard to dodge patrols and regular enemies.
Add some more traits to the uncommons already. Daniel is a beefcake he should get more inventory slots for potions. Chloe should have a bad smell that lowers the enemy in front of her if she's front row.

What kind of comp should I be running to clear the old castle F21? I'm able to get to the boss rush 4/5 but run out of heals at that point. It doesn't seem like spamming defense is as effective as it was for the first season so I'm at a loss.
