It was removed for this beta since the devs want to get a feel for what the game's balance (mechanics, gunplay, class interaction and effect on offense and defense) will be between 32 randos who don't know each other and how the game's current mechanics encourage or discourage teamwork (there are still unused parts like class field perks)

No. They are a huge hassle because you no longer have hands, but a permanent generic gun that doesn't even match the shape of some of the rifles anyway, so doing ANYTHING in game but firing no longer works properly. Even the attempted solutions, like detatching the controllers with magnets never work well. Every single person I've ever see try to use one has given up after a few attempts.

Then for clipping I still slightly prefer https://github.com/serenae-fansubs/mpv-webm over others, since you can visually select start/end and sweep encoding settings To remove audio you have to use mpv's shortcut to switch the audio track to disabled (# by default)

yes, but keep in mind your VRC account needs to have a certain number of hours logged before you can upload avatars. Public worlds and having friends will accelerate the process.

You can be a desktopper with no VR headset on VR Chat to start socializing and build up your account status. There are even apps that can use your cell phone camera to add some motion tracking without a VR headset, so that for others it won't be like talking to a piece of furniture.

1. If it's not already, encode your video as an h264 video with aac audio as an mkv file with handbrake. mp4 container will also work with "web optimized" checked but mkv is slightly more reliable. I think the "Creator 1080p60" preset that comes with handbrake is fine. Also bake the subtitles if you want those.
2. choose one of (sorted by how much convenience/retard tax you have to pay, high to low):
a. d*scord nitro (~500mb limit but retard-friendly)
b. bunnycdn (relatively expensive storage/egress but retard-friendly)
c. raw backblaze b2 (cheaper egress and free storage)
d. google cloud storage (eventually expensive but free tier will cover you for a while)
e. buy a cheap domain from any registrar, set up cloudflare, register backblaze b2 bucket as subdomain (unlimited egress for just the price of the domain)
f. oracle cloud, make free vps, ssh in and set up basic web server (generous free tier storage/bandwidth limits but you have to do it all yourself)
3. upload your video file onto chosen service
4. copy public http link from whatever service into video player.

Sometimes you can even get away with uploading the video to litterbox, but it's unreliable.

If you just want to watch by yourself, skip steps 2 and 3 and instead install caddy locally, set it up in file-server mode, and copy the localhost link into a vrchat player. If you don't care about vrchat and just want a comfy VR environment, use bigscreen beta.

I will admit, the game is better off staying unrealistic without a mag release button. It slows the reloads just enough to make swapping to your pistol an attractive option and it didn't require the unsatisfyingly arbitrary timer that Breachers uses.

As others have said the avatars relative proportions matter the most as changing total scale is trivially easy in both Unity and in game with the quick menu slider. The in game method works so well you can not even both changing it in Unity.

However changing proportions requires Blender editing and a decent amount of trial and error. If you don't have FBT I wouldn't worry about it, but if you do scaling down the crazy long legs all anime models have is something a few people do to make them match better

The game does have a mag release button, you can use it to drop mags on the pistol, which I should know because the dragonov still feels bad in CQB so I continue my adventures as a cowboy recon. They 100% need to give recon access to at least a machine pistol or something that isn't complete ass when fighting close because a good respawn beacon is game winning but whoever makes the sacrifice to put it down is gonna hate life even if their entire squad is thanking them for it.

Meanwhile in the interlude between sessions, I am using this opportunity to shill this manga [Subete no Jinrui wo Hakai Suru. Sorera wa Saisei Dekinai / Destroy All Humans. They Can't be Regenerated] that is not about MTG as the card game and technical play, but rather a coming of age story about people who play MTG and it even has real relationship progression

You dont need to play MTG to enjoy the manga or even understand whats going on. The actual cardplay itself is more used as a lens to see character development and growth as opposed to being a plot device. Knowing MTG history helps further enjoyment, of course, but there are notes usually either in the margins or at the end pages of each chapter for relevant cards
The Fallen Angels release's are the better ones usually, and the manga seems to have finally picked up translations again after some long hiatus's so we should be close to the japanese releases now but I may be wrong as its been a while since I've caught up to it.
