Quest systems feel outdated imo, i do love Skyrim & probably played every single dungeon and questline in it. Thats a old game though, it just walks you through steps like “go here, to this pointer” “talk to guy, with pointer on head” “fetch item” that also has a pointer on it, “enter doorway.” Theres no thought in it, even puzzles are designed for toddlers & takes little to no thought to complete. Games used to experiment with new original mechanics, games on ps1 often were entirely original & very experimental. I’m hoping AI can push things forward NPCs with dynamic personalities that actually has some thinking capabilities, real time reactions & unscripted dialogue instead of canned lines. there should be amount of set stuff to create a story but dont you ever feel like games are kinda stale? Each town has a prosperity level, with the high levels means there are no destroyed buildings, extensive farms outside the wall with several armed patrols roaming near the city, and the shops have higher end goods at a higher price. The lower stage means the city turns into basically Mourn. The prosperity level would be changed by either world state changes OR the world would have list of events (sort of like base raids, but more spread out) that would effect random cities. There would be raids (which the player could help stop or help the raiders, if they want), supply shortages/surpluses (prices would be effected and the player could help make up the supply deficiency), political guests to certain cities (which could be kidnapped), ect.

The transmission of the fogmen's parasite is kept pretty vague... here's my idea:>fogmen transmit their parasite to captured hivers with bites until they die, changing them to fogmen themselves (deleted and fogman of corresponding race spawned in place on pole) and executing others while worshiping the prince executing non-hivers ritualistically (or maybe they all beat them to death with sticks in a frenzy like the cult village)As far as I'm concerned this would be canon behavior if the game was finished or if they could have figured out how to get it working, like how aren't they all died out by now? They're gone permanently when you clear the deadhives caused by collapsing the western/southern hives, so they have to be coming from new captives in the foglands. Vain is right there, so they've got a steady stream of exiles bouncing off the HN and Shek/Swamp/Spiders right to them.That or the fog itself turns hivers into fogmen, as the fog mask directly states "negative effects". Turning a player hiver into a fogman with weather effects is a lot more likely to be in the 'couldn't figure out how to get it working' department. Honestly, there should be more acknowledgement of how the hivers are a nuke waiting to happen with their volatile susceptibility to a terrible disease... not even the heroes league mentions it, so maybe it's not well-known. >>543155532Its not hard, pretty easy.- Create mod file in fcs with unique name- in game on your current save, press "shift + f12" & save the town with the unique mod name you created.- Go to plastic surgeon and export your characters sliders "bod2" file and move a copy of them from the "data/character/bodies" folder into your new mod with the town- create all the residents in fcs with the .bod files in your new mod folder selected with the stats they had in the last game. make them the residents. Look at a vanilla town to figure out how it works.- Maybe make them possibly recruitable if you want, use in game dialogue examples for how to do that.
Would be cool if one could save a town's "blueprints" as a mod, so they'd be designated to be built, but you'd still need the materials to do it.

I do play with larger spawns and population but these fuckers right here are like fogmenNear constant stream of them hanging around my base, I'm in permacombat because they never retreat, they just get their grasses kicked, then as soon as they recover they attack again, until they lose a leg or die. And before all of them are dead a new squad of them will probably walk in. Amazing place to train basic combat skills though.

I've done base building, I've done boss capture/killing, I've destroyed HN and UC before on different playthroughs, I've built a literal army before of 100 dudes and fucked up the entire map, and the only thing stopping me from a thief playthrough is that it is piss easy to be a thief in Kenshi. You can go from being in HN jail to 100,000 cats in about two hours.
