I'm also annoyed that the individual routes don't have a visible ending in-game, only a vague hint in the true ending and a non-committal maybe it'll get added in an update. Finished Innocent Assault. Could've been better, but maybe I ruined the experience by choosing Nightmare all the way through. Ended up playing the game like a really jank TPS. The fact the game starts you off with the grenade launcher and homing rockets really makes ranged vastly OP compared to melee. It also really doesn't help every single enemy has a fucking grab attack.I do very much enjoy any game that lets you dress and fight in basically naked cosmetics though.

And you build back about 20% of your special gauge on hit and a bunch of them hit 4 times, so combined with the regular over time gain you pretty much don't lose any special gauge as long as you hit. The main to be careful about is on bosses making your if you get your attack blocked you don't instantly get grabbed by an extra enemy.I do agree that the 2 explosive shots you start with are the best ones by far. Wave as a defensive too and rapid fire just for for octo artillery are the only other ones worth using. Melee skills are similar and other than replacing the big hit with drill thrust the starter skills are probably the best ones overall. Makes finding more skills and ammo types feel a little bad when they mostly kind of suck.
