Three consecutive threads surpassing the bump limit apparently doesn't mean we're safe, but I'm not going to cry about it because it's usually only on the weekends that I'm gaming and posting on 4chan anyway. In fact, I'd normally wait until Friday to resurrect /lgg/ when it dies during the week (unless someone else beats me to it), but I made this one just to see what happens. If it archives tonight, then fuck this gachaslop board and I'll see you in three days.

>my automatic screenshot-trimming script didn't remove the letterboxing because there's one weird pixel in the top-left
I'm seeing the same thing in The Evil Within, by the way. (The screenshot in >>542672454 was cropped manually.) This is pretty weird because I never saw this before last thread, and yet I know it's not every game doing this. Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, also letterboxed to 16:9, does not have that single non-black pixel at the corner, and I've verified that my script successfully detects the letterbox and trims screenshots as expected. It must be a thing that just happens in some games, and I just happen to have played two such games in a row.
This is such a non-issue that it's not worth investigating. Still weird though.

Is it a common issue that, after resuming a computer from suspend with a Wine/Proton game running, the game's framerate drops to unplayable speeds until the game is rebooted?

wasn't able to bump last thread since i was phone posting on data and my ip range was banned

When I'm on mobile data, I can't even get a captcha. It just keeps giving me the 2-minute timer.

For me, it's Batgirl. The cinematics/cutscenes are borked in Gotham Knights, I have to watch them on youtube, but otherwise the game runs fine. It's just not as fun as the Arkham games.

Why would you need to reinstall your Linux OS from scratch?

Anyone trying the new pathologic 3 demo? I finally beat p2 on imago last October so this is good timing for me.
I think I'm having a bug near the beginning though.

You can use input remapper as well and it comes with a gui
>>
>>542679568
I don't think I've ever suspended with a game running (use case? :^)), except by accident on Steam Deck, but it's probably the GPU not waking up from low-power mode or some shit.
>>
>>542679568
Steam deck handles that properly (it's a "selling feature" of the steam deck) so I guess not? Maybe steam deck does something special to make it work better.
>>
>>542761876
Yeah suspend works fine but in gaming mode, probably something to do with gamescope?
>>
>>542763853
Hmm I dont know, suspend also suspends gamescope so its hard to know if the wayland compositor does affect it or not or if steam deck suspends in a different way.
>>
>>542764114
I meant steamos*. One that that could affect the fps is which clock proton uses or maybe the compositor. Linux has a clock that gets suspended by suspend and one that doesn't. Maybe gamescope uses one clock while other wayland compositors uses another one.
>>
>>542764114
>>542679568
Which wayland compositor are you using? Maybe the wayland compositor stops sending frame updates to the game properly after resume.
