I liked the new chapter better than the previous one. I still wish Tails was with them. I hope they get reunited. When the statue got destroyed, it's clear that it was mainly so Sonic and Yuuta could get the Chaos Emerald. I thought that if Tails was there maybe he could have given the statue another power source instead. I'm curious what they'll do with Shadow, I wasn't expecting him to show up. CrossWorlds' ENG script comes from Ian Flynn, and his position as a writer actually holds less clout than you might think. While all Sonic Team-made games have them write the overall scenario first, on two occasions (Lost World and Frontiers) the English script localizers were allowed to write their version of the script first, then Sonic Team made further changes to it for the Japanese version to make it match their vision. That's why the JP script for Frontiers is almost completely different - at least for the main cutscenes. It was only around The Final Horizon that Ian was allowed to write the script for the main cutscenes, which were translated to Japanese while someone else at Sonic Team wrote the script for the secondary cutscenes, which were translated to English without Ian's involvement.Put another way, nothing in an Ian script is obligated to be followed up on because as far as ST is concerned, he's a "rough draft" they iron out later, and he has a known history of doing things they don't like under their noses. Mentioning Sticks in Frontiers, for instance.
