you know, maybe im too much of a boomer but some of the most fun 3rd person game combat i played was like god of war, ninja gaiden, dark souls, devil may cry, infamous 2nd son, etcyou know what those games all have in common? combat was like 4 buttons and a joystick. 45 keybinds has always been unnecessarydevil may cry for instance used to have like 10-15 different combos between just square and triangle. its like MMOs completely forgot what the combo was, and need to lay out every single part of a combo as its own button because it just lacks the functionality to have sequenced keypresses or something. it seems like they finally started to figure this out with moves like primordial wave and templar strikes, but they could go a lot farther with it, reducing the number of keybinds without actually reducing the number of skills. t

You can 100% base a spec around that but it needs to be fully committed from a design perspective which Pres was. The issue is that other specs who arent designed that way have needed continual improvements to their burst healing because of how the game has devolved into insane burst one shots with every class having tons of defensives
