ngl I think the mystic enchants do more harm than good, even ignoring the balance issues. Almost all of them are some kind of conditional buff, leading to you having to juggle a bunch of effectively random procs that don't square well with the basic gameplay.

I have been playing a warrior tank, playing around with multiple enchant setups including shockwave spec, thunderclap spec, trying to maximize shield block and some mixed setups, and what I'm finding is that it's very uncommon for your procs to line up usefully with what's happening at any given moment of gameplay. It feels like it's making you play two classes at the same time that ends up clashing, like there simply aren't enough gcds to let you utilize the full potential of yours setup.

The wotlk classes are a huge improvement on vanilla, but I think they would have been better off simply keeping the wotlk classes, maybe with some minor changes, than flipping the table entirely with these new mystic enchants.

Also it's crazy how bad so many of the vanilla dungeons are compared to tbc or wotlk.

Looking at some classes early mystic enchants they are crazy bad. shadowbolt casts 3% faster? really, so a few milliseconds faster? at lvl 10? how much does that help you level at lvl 10? devs made some weird choices with the early mystic enchants for some classes. Rogues sinister strike enchant they get at 10 doesnt even become useful until lvl 30+ when you can pair it with the other SS enchant or lvl 50-60 when you get enough crit to make it worthwhile, It might actually be a less than 1% damage increase before then making it the worst enchant even worse than shadowbolts 3% speed.

They still did a decent job overall, the server has a lot of content

I got it to work by using this fork's branch and changing the version to 0.4.10 in LootCollector.lua. Looks like it has to slowly populate the database from users instead of providing an updated db which is dumb.

A guy on the collection Discord is maintaining this database. You cannot import it the normal way due to its size causing the game to freeze but you can open DBopt/db.lua and replace the built-in optional database string with his, then open LootCollector settings and merge with optional database.

Rare pet hunting as a mage has been surprisingly fun. These two guys at the gates of Grim Batol can be charmed too. Of course, it's practically impossible to survive on your own while channeling, luckily I found a chinese warrior just hanging around the place. It took a while to explain what I wanted to do, but he tanked them like a champ - for a time.

starting from classic abilities, all paladin needs to do good dps in 5 mans is a modest attack power bonus on consecration. On nost they had an AP bonus on consecration like it did on seals and i was consistently top DPS in 5 mans and was competitive in UBRS and able to full tank gnomer at lvl 30 without losing aggro of the lvl 35 boss (lets see a warrior do that). all you need to make hybrids viable in vanilla are some very MINOR tweaks, but classic + devs always go crazy with it and make paladins OP as shit, its crazy.

Nope, I spent like 4 hours on that horn easily, and was almost resigned to walking away with nothing as it dropped! That aside, the market isn't as big as it would be because it's 1 class that uses them - and out of that class it's a VERY niche legendary that most people don't even know exists. On regular ascension any class can use any skills, so a lot more people would care.

I want to like this so much and I have FOMO over AH prices. But I really can't play this shit for more than 8 mins at a time.
