The class is heavily Multiple Ability Dependent by nature: CON and WIS is a must and while theoretically DEX and STR could be interchangeable to determine hit rate and damage the former is also needed for AC, Initiate and certain skills. Which means in reality pure STR/dumped DEX is not really an option (the only exception might be if you're building around the 18 DEX bracers from the get go), so you'll most likely end up being mediocre at both instead. This is where TB could help out and balance the odds. The problem is that STR elixirs exist and their synergy with TB (which is a pretty OP Feat by default) is just devastating. In this case they allow a pure DEX Monk to face no consequences for it's dumped (8) STR, meanwhile the lack of equivalent DEX elixirs mean STR (or hybrid) monks can't keep up. The elixir is just some of their fingernails ground to salt then combined with a suspension. As barebones as it gets when it comes to magical elixirs. If the dependency still bothers you (in-game it won't be an issue if you buy up Auntie Ethel's stock after every Long Rest and Level Up) there will be an item called Club of Hill Giant Strength which is basically a magical stool leg that can be found in the Arcane Tower in the Underdark after breaking the said stool. Don't worry, I think it will show up for [Alt].It "only" sets your STR to 19 instead of 21 but you're free from the elixir (furthermore, you can drink a different kind from then!) and there's a way to equip the item in your off-hand. This is important as the point of Monk is obviously Unarmed attacks, so equipping any weapon gets into the way of this. However, since Unarmed attacks are performed with the Main Hand this method works to circumvent this. If you end up playing Open Hand your Flurry of Blows (which use Bonus Action and performed with the Off-hand) will suffer because of what I just explained, but that's an acceptable price to pay for not having to bother with STR elixirs ever again.

The first area I found better ones in Act 1 was in the Githyanki Creche below the Monastery. The next big step where multiple Medium or even Citizen ones can be found is the Mason's Guild in Act 2.You had the right idea with dyeing but dyes had to be bought. Rarely you get them as random loot but you consciously have to spend on them and check the vendors who sell them after each Long Rest and Level Up. I used this to fix it one time, but it also didn't work multiple times. I looked up Minthara's npc id and used the console to teleport her near the boat. I also used this trick one time when Dammon was bugged in the grove, I teleported him outside the grove, shoved him towards combat, and that fixed his glitched state and I teleported him back.This game may be goty and a contender for gotd, but it's far from perfect.
There's also a Rolan bug where you can persuade him to stay in the grove but then he won't appear in act 2 except a message in the tavern and everything acts like he left the grove (most tieflings and all kids except Mol dead), but in act 3 he won't be in Lorroakan's tower either.
