It's not an impenetrable fortress.Instead Kinggath set it up so that when you enter an exterior cell surrounding the building you get a pop-up saying "You stepped on a buried nuke-mine!" and a nuke explodes on where you stepped. If that didn't kill you, the dev glued a second nuke to your feet so wherever you ran to, you still explode.If you managed to get past that and enter the building through the roof, you will find regular enemy spawns and no computer doohickey in the newsroom. If you leave through the roof you explode again (that's how I learned it just tracks if you're in a nearby exterior) Bottom line: there is no challenge. There's nothing difficult about going in, he just really wants the player to go through his epic battle scene like it's a TTRPG campaign on rails. There's some other stuff after this that pissed me off too, but this was really what made me drop a level 50 character

Trying to see if I can port the radiation weapons to 3/new vegas just purely to see if it's mechanically possible. Biggest problem is what enemies the weapon should damage. Like heal ghouls and do nothing against super mutants... done. But what about deathclaws? How about enemies that were created by fev in general like centaure or radscorpions, are they all immune to radiation or just super mutants? And that's not getting into brahmin and other ghoulified/mutated animals.

Funnily enough I only really liked the enclave after they got btfo'd by the NCR. Hearing the surviving members talk about the good and bad of the organization and showing off their high-tech enclave tech to the mojave is a really sick way for the faction to go out. Something real romantic and tragic about americans reminiscing about the past.
