>>543523104The entire system set up was to be as disposable as possible to make the treadmill more brutal and forcing people to have to grind practically for material fuel in the event they wanted to run something else. If you played multiple characters and ran different things it was totally possible to just be coming short on cores even when you basically did everything right. Bungie has not much in the way of new content and they wanted to turn normalcy we had literally every other point in time in the game into this big ballbuster grind. They were going to have the gear from the entirity of EoF lose all bonuses of being New Gear, which pretty much made a ton of things pointless and I don't think they realized they gave more of a reason for people to not even bother buying the one DLC once Renegades would be out originally.
